Basics for cactus farm. If youve tried to plant a cactus, you know you cant put it near walls, it has to be at least 1 space away. If you put a cactus 1 block high, place a block 1 up and over from it, and following the "space" rule, when the cactus grows that part will be chopped off and fall. Sometimes this will fail because items that touch cacti will disappear.

I've found that you can bury cacti underwater as long as it's surrounded by sand (IIRC). But for some reason it won't let you do it above water. It'd might be a easier more compact way to do this machine. It works good for having monster traps all around your home aswell.

he rather builds a water delivery system than having to check it every once in a while

its also mote comfortable for the cacti because they get dropped a couple hundred feet witch allows them to grow faster when you plant them
