I'm so glad you "gave it a chance" like. Nothing beats an original version of the song. Saw Mark and the boys do this many years ago. Long before the Killers were even on the scene.

Nothing pisses me off more when folks think newer versions are the dogs in comparison to the original version of a song.

Dire Straits are one of my fave bands of all time. Mark Knopfler is a musical genius.

The Killers are just doing a copy of what I consider to be one of my fave songs of all time.

Damn. I Just remember seeing this live. That Dobro guitar reflects the sun on all sides of the stadium. It was like Knopfler playing "ray of light on the wall" with a mirror... It can also be seen on Telegraph Road. Looks cool in concert halls also. This band was made for the live gig. Sometimes people say that the bands image is kind of boring, but I think music like this is timeless and highly skilled. With great arrangements and virtuosity this band is one of the greatest ever!
