The main issue was this was all built on VB.net. Everything had component legs to share info. So you get an MP3 that had simple ID3 tags but you can see like tags, Photos took in GPS info and would identify other like photos. So all these objects had a crazy amount of relevant data that was shared across the OS. Issue? Viruses and malware could come from a .jpg made from this project. This had all the glam, but none of the security. With all this said *TAKE MY MONEY I WANT IT NOW!*

@jjp321609 the reason Longhorn was scrapt was because in 2003 the computers were no chance against today's computers, this would have ran on today computers(2011), but computers in 2003 were not as powerful. the graphics were to advanced on lower end computers, so the computer would have lagged so bad that i would have been a bad os.

@popaname Actually, they got extremely confused With XP SP2 and Server 2003 on the way, so they scrapped Longhorn in 2004 and started the "new Longhorn" which became Vista. Otherwise Windows Longhorn would have been on the shelf in 03 and 04. Blame it on XP!

I'm using b3718 for 2 months and really not understand for what reason they chancelled the project. Integrated virtual desktops, shoved on deskbar gadget, is simply elegant and beautiful yet effective solution. WinFS also underestimated...

I tried windows, and this is the best by far is really improving windows xp (one of the best in the world). I recommend it if your computer can not support Windows Vista. Actually this video is incomplete as this is the only video Build 4015 (not said in other Builds) no compatibility problems. Recommended For virtual machine, is very difficult to get online, I have it saved on a CD with Build 4015 (which appears in the video)

Longhorn was supposed to be the codename for vista. Microsoft were planning to release vista in 2003, but it got delayed by 3 years. And it's the biggest piece of shit Microsoft have made and does nothing compared to what's In this concept

Get your facts right. :-) areo peek and areo snap those futures were in Linux back in the xp days.  the only thing WIndows created all on there own was true transparency and ntfs. and apple created the dock. everything else was a variation of something that already existed in the Linux underground. :-) i Love Mac os x and Windows best though Linux is to unsupported.

OS X is how it handles Files on external devices. go ahead and look closer. save some files to a regular FAT formatted external drive. then delete those files. then take that drive and go plug it into your Windows Machine. you will see even though the files are gone that disk space is still used. you have to reformat to get disk space back. its very dumb. its formatted for FAT but OS X still treats it like its HFS

There is a 'trash' on the drive. So you go ahead and turn on hidden files in Windows, and you can get them. LOL.
