I could never beat Bowser in this mode. I should go for chains more. I usually just try to get a bunch of 4+ lines at the start. I've never played this with a keyboard before.
Nice OP... brings back nostalgic memories of this game... Recently just downloaded it and found that the game is significantly easier then I remember (keyboard...) although I was significally better on the SNES before this hiatus though.
puzzle league's S-hard mode is harder though... i'd make a video of that if i had the cartridge or my cpu played the game properly via emulator... maybe if it comes out on the Wii VC.....
I don't know which part you're talking about (because it looked like I turned a lot of the battles here around), BUT I honestly don't know how I managed to win anything here myself. I'm looking at this vid, it so bad, over 2 years ago. I'm MUCH better at the game now.... maybe I'll put up a new vid of me playing this one day.
@MarkoManX If this is legit gameplay (and looks so to me) of you and you claim to be much better now, I'm impressed. I think you're already pretty decent in this vid.
you know who i hate the most in that game, bowser a little bit but its the wizard guy (forgot name) that i hate alot. he chains so much. all i can hear in the first 10 seconds is "hocus pocus" "hocus pocus" and im thinkin "oh shit, im about to get owned by a big brick" and then i die cuz i have some brain loss there. i just stop and dont know wat to do.
I say, you're making me want to upload a playthrough of mine... but I don't know the basics of screen-capturing or filming or whatever, so I suppose I'll postpone it for now. Well done.
get hypercam. even though if it isnt registerred, there is a "unregistered hypercam" in the corner, you can still get videos. lots of videos of games use hypercam. im gonna try and get a good run of me on super hard. so far, i cant get no continues on it though.
It is very clear this is not lv 7 comp for at least 3 reasons:
Player does not raise the stack at the beginning of the match. lv7 ALWAYS does this.
Second, player does a skill chain (slide a block between 2 blocks before the top block falls to create another chain). Comp does not do skill chains.
Third, player moves while garbage blocks are being cleared to create chains. Comps do not move while garbage is being cleared (according to shapes that are about to fall).
It had been awhile since I played, and failed to remember the most obvious fact that lvl 7 comps raise the blocks.
I have seen comps commit skill chains... but as to where this was intentional or not, I'm not sure.
I've seen comps cancel their moves suddenly because they made a mistake. If lvl 7s can actually screw their moves over by accident, I guess they can also make a move that they were not intending to make.
Hmmm... you're good... but I'm sorry I can't say you're too good. I do know this is on S-Hard, and that you defeated them all without continues, but you made a lot of moves that could've hurt you. Focus more on a large set of Chains instead of forming Combos everywhere and you'll become better. Watch my two vids of defeating Bowser and Cordelia and see what your skill can become with practice.
Anyway, way to go, completing S-Hard without continues, that is still a powerful feat.
lol, I know that, but time doesn't mean anything. The computer can make different moves each play, so the gameplay will never be the same each time.
Of course I won't say he's better then me because I have no proof either way who's better. I can say I'm faster then what is displayed above, but both he and I are faster with controllers, so it's still unknown.
Oh, and MarkoManX, the D-pad of a gamepad doesn't respond quick enough like the SNES controller can. You're better off with the keyboard.
3d mode always lags when it comes to long chains, giving you more time to think, making for longer chains. Too easy, almost never lose at it. And sure the cpu is better on the 64, but the characters, music, and attack sounds are WAY better for this game, which is why I like it more.
When I used to play this game I'd win most rounds on super hard in under 10 seconds, all you have to do is get a x4 or x5 or so right off the bat and the cpu will raise its screen up at the start and kill itself off.
See, I started playing this game before the SNES was even invented. It was tougher back then, you had to use actual blocks and fly to Japan to play. And if you lost they took a finger.
Hmm. My brother and I have been playing since BEFORE 1996, possibly as far back as '93 or '92, I'm not sure. My brother's as good as you at forming chains... I tend to be more of a combo man myself, but I am his equal in combat. Good to see we're not the only ones with no life!
Well I Had pokemon puzzle challenge (the EXACT same game but with pokemon in the background, not nintendo guys) Anywho, if your on superhard it actually said "superhard" under level not "hard" Besides, once you get past superhard then you got intense mode to play... lemme tell you that is freaking tough...
I'm not? Hmmm... go to 1:39 to 1:40 of this video. See the dark red background behind the text? That means Super Hard Mode. Look, maybe I'm not the best per se, but I'm far from a Noob, I've been playing this game since 1996.
maybe, but I was only using a computer keyboard. i haven't even played a good hhuman player in a very long time, so who knows. A friend of mine is trying to figure out Snes97's netplay shit, so maybe in the future soon...
i would bet you bigdimp has never even played tetris attack. he just makes himself feel good by saying hes better than someone he will never actually play. this is the little spoiled white kid that screams and throws a tantrum when he loses at something. so he has decided to stop putting himself in a position where he can lose.
Such memories. I remember fighting CPU level seven and losing a lot,but with a lot of practice, I became a Boss!

@Geno100 no one chooses yoshi, but it would have been much more intimidating beating bowser in 13 seconds.

Without the ending there isn't really any proof that you did in fact beat this...
Especially when the player acted EXACTLY the way a lvl 7 computer behaves...
tenchimuyo69 3 years ago
Scratch this: I'm a retard. I doubt any human can do lvl 7 cp copy...
Still... Ending always make for good proof since the ending can't be viewed if the player isn't human.

For everyone's reference.

tenchimuyo69 3 years ago
I would believe that a comp makes skill chains once in a while, though I cannot recall it. This is still a real player though :)
Now as to whether it was played slow and then sped up or not, that is much harder to prove.

silence?

Uhh... no.
The CPU doesn't drop blocks in between falling blocks. Plus, admittedly, I'm like 2 frames slower than the CPU on level 7... I'm just smarter.

it must be because its old panel de pon
