The HST benefits big business, because the tax shifts from them to the consumers.

The HST benefits the government only in that they get the support of big business because of the corporate tax cuts. The HST does not benefit anyone else.

@TheMariwood Just to reiterate, no one from the tourism industry, any industry or small business owner was paid to speak out about the benefits of HST including the BC Chamber of Commerce that represents 32,000 businesses in BC, of which 98% are small businesses.
