  • Echelon AUS-NZ-UK-US-CAN co-0p- we spy for you-you spy for us(on OURpeople)EVERYTHING vacuumed up,chked for keywords BUT Cell signals are triangulated &tracked, voice recognition is likely able to be used to track individuals, develop profiles,&habit charts, known liaison/associates. AMDOCs &Israelie companies collate all of the data of who is calling who&when&where. The information age=information a commodity-Information has value-nformation=power=power to market to, power to intimidate.

  • Check out BANDWIDTH BANDITS it is not just internet but all phone channels. Customers are affected because of all the spy networks it has to be chopping up the bandwidth and I theorise because of my Fax line troubles the software runs out of bandwidth and looks for unused channels to rollover traffic onto.

  • It makes me want to cry.

  • jrigeli said: "The Senate voted to give the Telecoms immunity. I am very disappointed in Senator Dodd not supporting this. If the government makes bad law, why should the Telecoms be left holding the bag? This issue has been completely distorted and politicized by groups like EFF and Dodd.

Truth is, the Telecoms were compelled to cooperate with government requests. This is petty politics, nothing more. Shame on you Sen. Dodd."

    BINGO !! You are correct.

  • "The mid 19th century, the U.S. and the Soviet Union had been battling each other in two simultaneous space races: one "white" and one "black." The white space race was the one that would frequently appear in newspapers and on TV. It involved communications satellites, planetary probes, and spacemen leaving footprints on the moon.

The black space race, on the other hand, was hidden under layer upon layer of secrecy and mystery...

  • It involved massive satellites build around specially designed, unusually powerful telescopes and radio receivers that were pointed not up at the stars and planets, but down toward earth and it's inhabitants..."

In the 70's: "much of the traffic was transmitted by microwave: pencil-thin beams which were too..."

Fastforward to 2001-the sound of a pin dropping can be detected from space.

In light of what NSA & NRO employ, 911 could've never happened without permission or cooperation-PERIOD!

  • I added this video to my favourites and voted 5 for it to make sure my opinion is being profiled/recorded and my future ability to go unnoticed is diminished greatly.

    Isn't this world just?

  • at&t are dishonest ass holes who will never get my bussiness again. they will screw their customers over. i used to deal with them but never again will i.

  • oh my GOD!!! This is so illegal. How do you get immunity? I have some information that they could be montoring?

  • Americans want what's shoved down their throats without thinking, for the most part. It's a "Buy what's on TV" culture.

  • This is one of many ways NWO (New World Order, purposed by sr. Bush) which US has started in 2001 and are working towards "national ID card, computer chips installed into you (already started in UK), fluoride in the drinking water to shut certain nerves in your brain for easier control over us) It is a war against our consciousness! WAKE UP PEOPLE!

  • What is happening in USA is absolutely frightening, specially for us, Europeans. We have seen liberty tossed by the window. This is why education is concentrating on reading and writing and history and citizenship are rolled back in the schools. You have no fly lists with Bush opposition on it!!!!. Please please wake up.

  • James Bamford speech on a radio show called Unwelcome Guests. He wrote on NSA. NSA has been tapping since before phones, Western Union telegraph. NSA tapping phones since beg of the Cold War. Nixon didn't even know. He told NSA to track "radicals", then asked them to stop. NSA was doing it before AND after. Our "owners" (per George Carlin) must be afraid of American people plotting against them. :)

  • I worked for ATT in Dallas but the real problem they wont talk about is RadioActive Immunity. Uh Oh, they are tappng the line so I got to go. Listen to Art Bell and vote for Ron Paul.

  • can we afford not to be cynical if it means our goverment wire tappings and internet survellances of every American, through protecting citizens from terrorism for our own sake under the guise of Bush patriotism? shall we become sheep and let congress pass this bill while they stuff their pockets with money from the communication lobbiests?

    i for one think not!

  • Working Assets didn't help Bush, and I am switching my phone over to them! (smile) Support freedom, support Working Assets!

  • why cant the CUSTOMERS vote wether or not they feel the telcos should be given immunity?

  • these are the videos that should be featured on you tube not shit like Chris crocker talking about britney spears.

  • The reason they have those shows is to constantly DUMB YOU DOWN! Try this... Stop watching TV/Radio/newspaper for a month... then try to watch it again, you'll be SHOCKED what is being constantly shown to us. I do not WATCH TV anymore as I can not relate to the media. Internet is the most Un-filtered source for information, although Youtube is starting to filter some content. Always keep your mind open and question the world around you, so that you can try to live free!

  • If the issue is with international Web-based communication, then why can't they do what any Web developer can do and determine the IP of the user and act based on the resulting regional information?

  • Ahh, the old if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear stance. You must believe in guitly until innocent, shoot first ask question later etc. etc.

  • My freedom of rights, it seems.

The issue that people have something to hide, but have a right to privacy. The people reviewing the information sent via the Web aren't robots, only looking for specific things of interest, but humans who shouldn't be able to pry into the privacy of people's lives.

There's also the point that there are laws that govern how they obtain their information and they are being broken. So, shouldn't those people who break the law be punished?

  • This is exactly the kind of rationale dictatorships use--if you're not doing anything wrong, you shouldn't mind if we read your mail, listen in on your phone calls, search your house, etc. This is NOT what democracies do (you know, like the one we're tying to establish in Iraq).

  • The American citizens did not commit those acts on 9/11, so why are we having our rights taken away because of those actions?

STAND UP AMERICA, A REVOLUTION IS NEEDED!

  • congress has their of the blame for wrongs commited against us over the last 20 years. to quote bush senior: "if the american people knew what we've done, they would chase throught the streeta and linch us." wake up america, we screwed. they sold us out. housing bust, falling dollar, endless war designed to shift public money to private hands, blatant disreguard for our constitution, legislative neutering of our constitution. only 5 years left. ready yourselves.

  • OMG! You must be kidding me?! I'll check it right now.

  • No candidate has taken a stand against this like RP.

  • This is why you should support Ron Paul. Down with the patriot act down with the lies.

  • This is an important issue to me. I'll be looking at Dodd a little closer now.

  • YOU ARE A BRAVE MAN TO TELL IT LIKE IT IS.

  • ATAT is the Imperial Walker in Star Wars. Coincidence?

  • And this is a surprise?

  • Be afraid....be very afraid....

    MCG

  • Mark Klein

You are brave one...speak the truth

  • ATT is the worst of the worst, driving up costs for their rich democrat friends who do and say the opposite of their actions...

That's the real problem in America!

  • wow. You "phail" as the kids say.

  • unbelievable. "Ignoring the past condemns you to repeating it".

We were taught in school how all the fascist regimes operated, so we could identify their MO and react in time to avoid their entering power again.

    Is it too late?

  • We have hundreds of people in government that are supposed to represent millons of us.They have not been doing their jobs.Thay have been betraying us.We must hold all who are guilty for crimes against the American people accountable.Voting yourselves not guilty after being caught is unacceptable-usually.

  • Yet another patriot tells the truth in a week of real patriotism. Olbermann, Kucinich, Klien. OH! the joy this nation will feel if we are ever able to witness Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rove and Bolton all convicted of treason against our Constitution, and the subsequent punishment.

Not coincidently, the FBI is warning us today of possible "terror" attacks on midwest malls. Hang your flag upside down folks. The false flag is around the corner.

  • We are being ruled by fear. If terrorism is the propagation of fear through a population deliberately generated for political purposes. Is the government a terrorist organisation? .. And are the media corroborators in their crime?

  • Yahoo gave up a guy to the Chinese, buncha losers. National security my ass. These companies gotta get balls. Governments can't be aloud to run roughshod over our rights. Stand up.

  • it's true, but it goes both ways. they scratch each others' back. gov passes laws for business, business looks the other way when gov wants records. hell they're often the same people, the revolving door. govs care about power, companies care about profits, hand in hand.

  • THANK YOU MR. KLEIN!

  • I say this as a Republican: why isn't Dodd doing better in the polls? Why don't Democrats support him over Clinton and Obama for the nomination? I know the answers to these questions, but it's a shame. What's wrong with America?! (Why should I even have to ask that question?!?)

  • True. Americans want what's shoved down their throats without thinking, for the most part. It's a "Buy what's on TV" culture.

  • I have to agree, most Americans seem to be brainwashed with their TVs, they would believe anything the TV tells them too....

  • Wow, you admitted to being a Republican. Typically Democrats and Republicans only expose themselves to the media that supports their views. Kudos for open mindedness...Now who wants to join me for Fox and Friends ?:)

  • Actually I don't support Dodd entirely. He said one of the worst things I heard a politician say the other day: he support national security over human rights.

  • Not even Nixon went this far people it's impeachment time before its too late.

  • finally somebody comes out and says the truth all this government spying is what it is and its bullshit its directly against the constitution

  • This guy's a hero. I'll meet you in Gitmo, my friend.

  • Almost every law passed pertaining to "national security" since 9/11/01 is unconstitutional. There is no way those Reagan/Bush appointed "strict" constructionists could possibly tolerate this BIG GOVERNMENT idea. More bureacracy, more spending. Just like they supported states' rights in the Bush v. Gore cas..... UH-OH!

It's only BIG Government when it doesn't fit your philosophy, right?

  • Wait..This isn't Britney!

  • DEMOCRACY: USE IT OR LOSE IT!!!!!!

We may be living in the end stages of American democracy. If the American people chose not to use the freedoms and rights we still have remaining; even those will be stripped away by crazed psychopaths who would tell us it's all being done in the name of "national security".

Ultimately, we get the government we deserve.

DEMOCRACY: USE IT OR LOSE IT!!!!!!

  • Good. They can listen to this one too this too! They should be fined and imprisoned, and all people who have these telecoms should drop them immediately! That would cure them qquickly!

  • Constitution and Bush HAVEN'T MET

  • word.

  • Yeah they have. Bush proclaimed that the Constitution was just "a God damned piece of paper".

  • are u joking?

that "damned piece of paper" gives you the right to say what you just said!

    i hope you're joking

  • Good ole' AT&T...we bring your world to the government. And of all ironies, they're continually rewarded with government contracts paid for with taxpayer dollars. We're getting screwed both ways.

Senator Dodd & Mr. Klein are true patriots. Thank you for exposing these goddamned criminals.

  • Thank you Mr Dodd and friends,

I am glad you have taken a stand and fighting

for are rights!! It is shameful how far this country has fallen :( everyone must share and spread the word,

that is how we got here (ignorance is bliss)

  • No where in the Constitution does it provide the Right of anyone to be a shithead, ex post facto. Something to keep in mind. ;)

  • It appears that retroactive immunity is not unconstitutional.

While Article 1 Section 9 says: "No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.", the meaning of "ex post facto" was clarified in Calder v Bull (3 US 386 [1798]).

Thus it is legal to retroactively de-criminalize behavior.

  • Calder v Bull (3 US 386 [1798])

"1st. Every law that makes an action done before the passing of the law, and which was innocent when done, criminal; and punishes such action. 2d. Every law that aggravates a crime, or makes it greater than it was, when committed. 3d. Every law that changes the punishment, and inflicts a greater punishment, than the law annexed to the crime, when committed. ..."

  • That doesn't apply when you're decriminalizing inherently unconstitutional actions (cooperating with unconstitutional surveillance).

  • Retroactive Immunity?

Can I get insurance after the fact?

    I think not!

  • Mr. Dodd and Mr. Klein ... thank you for stepping out to do this, as it's one of the most honorable things to do. Truly there are people out there that still believe in this country, and will make things like this known to the common public. Truly, the American government is CORRUPT, and it needs to stop. I can only hope that this is the beginning of getting our freedoms back..

    Thank you sirs.

  • Thank you, Chris Dodd. Now, that you appear to be taking a stand for the Constitution and for truth, you should cut your ties to the CFR. If you do not, your words will fall on many deaf ears.

  • Any politician that lets this corrupt Republican President partner with his corporate friends to shred the Constitution and spy on everyone illegally and Orwellianly needs to be voted out of office ASAP

  • Interesting video, thanks for sharing! It's important to levy equal criticism onto the security agencies who make illegal requests, though. i.e. the NSA.

  • If Yahoos CEO is a moral midget for giving up a user to the Chinese government after service of a proper subpeona then what is ATT for giving up ALL their users without ANY due process whatsoever ?

    Criminals!

These folks are subverting the Constitution and need to be punished to the point where they and their corporation no longer are a functioning business unit.

Only this type of enforcement of the law will let other CEOs know that they need to heed the advice of their legal departments.

  • Thank you Chris Dodd for your good work on this. I hope that the Democratic leadership steps up, unlike on the impeachment issue, and really slams these telecom corporations hard. Let the lawsuits go their natural course. Don't give immunity before we even know what's going on. It's clear that people in government will never be held to account, but shouldn't at least private citizens be held accountable for their actions?
