The 76world sports car championship was the last real open sports car competion until the 21c US Le Mans.Ickx in that 935 Porsche and the Renaults were quick , 400 km hr on Mulsanne and more dangerous than f1. Better if the Alfa Tipo's had raced with Merzario.
