If it sounds similar, it sounds similar. There are some artists and musicians who express similar interests and feelings, but the MAIN thing that's making it noticeable is the drummer keeping time; otherwise, you probably wouldn't be able to tell.

Do you realize how many alternative tunings, strings, chords, strumming/patterns, voicing, harmonics, musical methods and techniques (etc) there are? More than you and I could ever count, my friend. Most of these are obviously a huge stretch to call a rip off. One must determine a rip off from the body of the song, not just a small section. Popular music is amazingly limited in scope and substance. By design the industry wants catchy and familiar. If the audience is dumb....all the better for them. They can keep releasing the same junk over and over and the idiots will think it is new.

Most of you call a catchy "chant of the week" music. Your lack of insight creates the copy phenomenon.
