The lady by the wharf sells random herbs, you get lucky and she gives out strong medicines. Amaravati's not cheating. I was doing a Hero only quest right after game came out and amaravati was working on some low level boss fights, this is legit.

This video is bullshit unless you can import items and other things from other logs. He had special and strong medicine. You need the alchemy pot for those. Even if you didn't, things that would drop those wouldn't come until at least the wisher's peak part more likely the way to the jester.

The Pattern switches all the time though.....Because if that was the case.....Dhoulmagus wouldn't be that hard if he attacked Hero every other turn....no, He attacks anybody he wants....I tried that lil trick he's doing and The attack patterns weren't like the video So my point exactly is it's all about luck I bet he couldn't do it again.

I'm having a hard time to accept that you didn't cheat at this because i've beaten Khalamari when i was lv14 and it was still hard (probably because i didn´t use any kind of herbs). By the way i have an advice for you: instead of fighting at the lowest level possible with the best weapons and all the other stuff why don't you try to fight at a higher level using the worst equipment possible (or without any equipment). At least you wouldn't spend money that would be useful later on.

Okay since there's so many comments from idiots who can't figure out how this guy did all he did in the video, here's how:

1. Flee EVERY battle, fight only when forced and let only 1 char stay alive for the end.

2. Money, Get from items sold from treasure chests.

3. Strong Medicine, Get from herb lady by the lighthouse, also additional money can be made by reselling some of the rarer herbs you get from her.

4. Learn the pattern, Khalamari follows one.

That's all there is to it. No cheats.

It's slow because the developer thinks we want to read a full sentence of text before AND after each and every attack, spell and skill. Nothing else happens during these text scrolls. They really should have taken a hint from the GRANDIA battle system and just perform the animations. Aside from that, the map movement and animation is excellent. I really liked this game.
