  • THE DAM 87 AW11 TOYOTA MR2 HAD THE SAME KIND OF SHIT SEATS LIKE THIS.. I KNOW BY EXPERIENCE BECAUSE I TO GOT REAR ENDED AND INJURED MY HEAD DO TO THE SEATS COLLAPSING.

  • This is not just a Chrysler minivan issue, so why are you and they saying CHRYSLER? Chrysler is a leader in safety, but you show a wreck that was in a 1987 model and this aired much later? The accident was in 1992 in a 87 model. The Chrysler minivans changed in 1991, and added more safety. So, you say it is other minivans later in the story, but try and show this to be a Chrysler minivan issue. Should have been more general at the beginning.

  • Good thing that the IIHS exists. They find so many problems in car design and get automakers to build better cars.

  • Chrysler could have been ahead on safety. Instead Eaton and other upper management chose to let GM and Ford surpass Chrysler on safety in many areas including Seatbacks, Latches, Brake Shift, Airbags, Fuel Cut Off and more. These things were unfortunately continued for years to come just to save a few bucks per vehicle where instead these things caused deaths, injuries, created tremendous defect liability and damage to the company's reptuation, which could have been prevented had they listened!
