People so often comment on Eugene "not giving a straight answer". I think this is a skewed view. He gives incredibly intellectual answers. He always says everything he means to say, "baked" or not. He gets his point across incredibly eloquently and philosophically. Also his party animal reputation isn't all true (even he has said if he did even a third of what people say he does he'd have ruined both himself and his career already). What a beautiful, controversial individual.

To address the foolery below:

For starters, people's bigotry towards the Roma is their problem, not the band's. This applies also to whatever misconceptions Americans may have about Eastern Europe.

The band HAS made it in America; they don't play huge arenas but they have a cult following and have played on Letterman, ffs.

And finally, what the hell IS punk these days? If you're operating under the definition of punk that existed in the late '70, then your punk is dead, sry2say.
