.......They don't call themselves their One and Only and each others Other Self and they met when they were 9, not 6. I love this movie, but it's not like the book at all. And they don't have the part in the hospital where Sam says "Goodbye my dancer, my friend, my One and Only, I love you." That's my favorite part, and their friendship doesn't really seem fully developed like it is in the book.

I love this movie! It is one of my favorites! But of course it is nothing at all like the book. Sam is blond, Jules is dark-haired, only Sam calls Jules Jules and everyone else calls her Julie. They don't have Rosie and Jules and Sam never dance the Little Girls Dance. Okay I will continue in another comment because mine is too long.....

alot of people said this movie sucked and alot of critics said it did too but i did read a few reviews and some said it was pretty good..and one was by a dancer and i so agree with what he said abt that when you are a dancer you love dance movies no matter how cheesy it is..if u can related to it or shows dancing then you love it..because u feel connected to it..i havent seen this yet but im gonna soon i cant wait!!!

I agree I own the book and have read it so much it's not even funny and have cried every time..... but they didn't make it anything like the book..... Jules has a sister, not a brother, they don't call each other their One and Only and are each other's Other Self, only Sam calls Jules Jules, everyone else calls her Julie. But if I tried really hard to forget the book I enjoyed the movie, of course I am a dancer to so...... :)

no it's not!!! but it's still good if you forget about the book :) it's just, Jules is called Jules by everyone not just Sam, Jules has a brother instead of Rosie which was horrible, I was looking forward to that, Jules and Sam met when they were 8 not 9 and they don't even show Jules dying, Sam is just reading her boyfriend a journal entry (who is still around) plus Jules ex-boyfriend is named Jack not Eli and THEY NEVER HAVE SEX! That's one part I LOATHE!

I absolutely love the movie, this film shows how a true friendship can be. I cried at the end when jules did her last dance and i cried when sam danced after jules died co it shows that no matter how hurt you are life goes on. A friend of mine died when i was alot younger but i carried on with my life for him. If someone could upload this movie it would be great thanks xxxx
