That is true...but BMW's quality is no match for Audi n sadly Mercedes..Car is good 2 drive but ive had 2 many problems with it n im in serious doubt about keeping the car..Duno what 2 replace it with cause the car is 1 of the top..Mercedes dont have a good competitor but Audi does but the Audi is ugly as hell...Porsche isnt any better..Land Rovers are just plain ugly..

i traded my bmw x5 for a 2009 infiniti fx35, and boy, i am blown away by the fx. simply superb. bmw is way behind in looks and technology, fx35 has a beautiful touchscreen and so many beautiful bells and simply better looking. bmw needs to rev up its design to compete with the big 3 japanese. otherwise the germans would face what american automanufacturers are facing now.

The engine is good the rest is cheap like a Ford. I know because I built them for a season. In 2003 The engine cost 10,000.00 the rest of the car cost the factory around 5,000.00. Back then they could have sold them for 25,000.00 and mad a nice profit.
Because the engineers that were friendly would talk about it. They knew how much it cost. The fan shroud and other parts are cheap plastic. Many of parts suppliers were on hand and discussed how much the parts cost BMW.
Well yes and no. The engine/drive system/ etc are very good. The rest of the car is not really that much different than a normal car. It is made of plastic and thin metal. The plastic fan shrouds/radiator in particular were very flimsy and delicate. You pay for Warranty basically. :-)
