For some, (maybe not all) of us this is sacred ground. That time is over and we`re left with the sounds of it as recorded for us to enjoy and share with future generations. I would personally recommend you re-think your promotion strategy. Represent the present moment instead of the past. if you have something new..

Shamisen does not have an initial tuning. The large tuning pegs are designed that way so the player can swiftly change from one tuning to another. This is not like a western instrument that has one tuning at all times. Shamisen will be in a different key every time the song changes. However from about 10 to 15 years ago many young players have adopted the key of C as a standard.
