For everyone that is saying he is cocky, you must have just assumed that cause he is good... But he was actually a cool kid in HS and he would destroy every team he played... And he defiantly has better speed and cut back ability that James, but he still needs to work on moving his feet AFTER the hit.. The only way they would stop him in HS was by blitzing off the edges and sending the house... Leaving the passing lanes wide open... Hes a good back and a good kid...
He made the right choice and picked Oregon :) i wish he didn't redshirt this year but with James,Barner and Seastrunk next year Oregon will be unstopable just like they were this year.
The Staff at Oregon is planning on red shirting him this year :(
They have three good back already so I guess it makes sense to make him sit out and get comfortable with the playbook. I read practice reports, and when he gets the ball he outruns the entire 1st string Ducks defense. (which is currently nationally ranked #1 after three week according to espn) So if he can outrun them all, watch out LaMicheal james next year! might lose ur spot to this guy
He needs to learn to lower the shoulder and run with a mission to crush people like walter payton did..hes the same the same size.. payton never listened to the critics who said he was too small to be a power runner. Lache cant rely on just his speed and shiftiness in the NFL. Prime example=Reggie Bush . Great high school and college back. but didnt live up to expectations. He must set it in his mind on every play thats hes gonna crush anyone who gets in his way!
You're kidding right? Not much creativity? Watch the video. WOW! You do realize he was recruited by nearly every major college power, including USC, Texas, Baylor, LSU, Auburn and many more.
This kid stops on a dime, leaves defenders grabbing air and in the open field he outruns anything. Most of these guys are lucky to be within 20 yards of him once he reaches the endzone.
@witster18 and you were way off with that comment dyer played no competition in highschool, its showing through in college right now cus he hasn't done anything and hes the starting running back
LeMichael James, Kenyon Barner, and Lache Seastrunk... all fighting it out for field time with the Ducks.
What a scenario of destruction for opposing teams. This guy Lache should be nicknamed "Razor" because he could run down a razor edged bridge across the Grand Canyon. Looks like the Pac Norwest is going to own the Pac 10 this year, regardless of the unexplainable actions of Jeremiah Masoli.
Lache is a sideline to sideline back who doesnt get north and south very well, he will have trouble at the college level when DBs understand how to take an angle, also his size concerns me he will not be an every down back, he will not get the 25+ carries that a true workhorse gets, he is a scat back like what reggie bush does in new orleans.
Drew Phillips is better go watch his Sr. Year 2009 highlights. He has been timed University of Alabama football camp a 4.38, 4.39, 4.41 40 yard dash time.
I would rather have him over Lattimore whos way overrated. I was just trying to get people to go watch Drew Phillips who was way over looked in this years recruiting class, he's going to BYU, he played in a hard division Alabama 5A and runs about a 4.4, on rivals it doesnt list the university of Alabama Camp time and has him at a 4.54 which is way off, and he only got offers from BYU, Wyoming and some other small time schools. Go check out his senior highlight reel.
He is really fast, but the only thing about him is that 99% of his runs are outside, i only saw one up the middle... at the college level everyone is fast, even the players on the defensive line... he is gonna have to be on a team with a two back set with a more powerful back along with him to sub in and out and to compliment his speed... i dont think he be the lone back of a team, but that just my opinion
haha sorry buddy not gonna happen! he cancelled his university of spoiled children visit! just cause porter is now at memphis id be surprised if he went there cause lets be honest memphis for football?? no exposure. no tv no competition, its honestly crap! but who knows! my bet is he pics Oregon on the 27th! so will just have to see!
should go to oregon. memphis is bad at football. auburn already has 1 maybe 2 top rb recruits. lsu allways underachieves. usc, he will never play. oregon a perfect fit.
Oregon's offensive line choked that one....but they were one of the youngest in the nation. remember, 6 seniors graduated and one star freshmen went on a mission from 2008. this year, every linemen is back for 2009. making it one of the most experienced in the nation.
hopefully Lache sees Oregon will be a great fit for his running style. Looks like he runs a prostyle offense with misdirection...he'll be killer in the spread. usually..itr's beat one man and go. he can def beat one man
If offensive line choked then why did back up running back Barner have such a good day? Even third string Blount had some runs. James was just having a bad day, he had half of his game average in yards. If other backs were running good then clearly it wasn't the freshman's day. Every1 saw he sucked so he pretended he's injured, ran to the back, got an x-ray taken, & and doctors said nothin wrong sent him back out..lol
Oregon gave it to Barner on end arounds and screen passes while he was in the slot. Oregon had to do this because the Ohio State D-line was overpowering the Duck O-line. they had to get the ball to the corners to negate the pass rush.
it's the same reason Masoli had such a bad game. the line pulled a Boise State.

Fantastic footspeed and acceleration...footwork in traffic is good. But he seems like a guy that tries to outrun everybody. He reads blocks well, but relies too much on his speed. If he's coachable he may do well, but if I had to guess I would say he's a bust for a top college.

That would be their first winning season in awhile and the MAC sux.....you know this I know this....playing in the MAC is the only way Temple could get a winning record....they lost to Nova and their only semi-quality win was a squeeker against Navy....not too impressive....go ahead and put money down on the mighty owls in whatever bs bowl game they play in probably Interbational Bowlagainst the #5 from big east
Ok,but the MAC doesnt suck..They had 7 bowl eligible teams last year and a team that could of been in a BCS bowl if they didnt struggle down the stretch in Ball State. The point is Temple has a great coach in Al Golden,a young team on the rise, and one of the top rushers in the nation as a FRESHMAN,no matter what conference your in you cannot put that down. The Owls are gonna be really competive in the next few year and might crack the top 10-15 teams in the nation behind Bernard Pierce, watch...
i hope he goes to auburn but if he chooses baylor its probably cause he has more in mind than just football like he actually wants to go to a school and get a real degree
baylor has very good academics, good medical program, good lawyer program, bad ass baseball team, bad ass track team, bad ass swim team, an emerging basketball team, national powerhouse in womens basketball and an emerging football squad...why not? oh yeah baptist chicks are the freakiest
i love auburn i hope he goes there but thats a dumb fuckin question maybe he has more in his life than football... like he actually wants a good education
that's because 71...i think its maxwell is slow as fuck....and Lache's not giong to auburn or Tennessee or anything like that...he's going to be a Baylor Bear with RG3 and Tevin Reese
Yeah he's gonna take his other visits because it's a chance to travel and see cool places for free, but in his heart he's already decided, and you can argue all you want but this is coming from Lache himself! Welcome to the Auburn family, the only school that puts real runningbacks in the NFL! War Damn Eagle, Lache!!!
I hate to tell all you other guys, but if you read every comment that Lache has made since he visited Auburn this past weekend, he might as well already put that Auburn jersey on! "The best visit I've ever had in my life!" and that is a direct quote from Seastrunk! He said it's the only place he's ever visited that made him feel like part of a family! It's all over boys!
what up brett? congrats on the baby. anybody from temple know the word from t-town. seastrunk comin to austin? lache if you're reading this stay loyal to the state and your temple folks down here. you'll fit in perfectly at UT and be a bigger star than Ramonce. plus you can tag any chick you want in the city with the hottest chicks
uh... speed? yeah. he's fast. Barry's elusiveness? hell no. Barry's vision? hell no. Barry's agility? hell no. Barry's strength? hell no. No comparison to Barry at all. Noel devine and barry sanders, i can see that comparison. But this fool? No way. He's just fast. Plus he runs wayyy too upright. He'll get smashed by anybody who can catch him at the next level.
brionthelion is harping about comparisons, and that's all that was.Outanex never implied that Lache is as good as Barry Sanders was as a pro.and by the way, when he gets to the next level, i'm sure he'll be just as ready as he is right now at his level.idiot.
I don't think he'll go to Texas. He seems like a primadonna Ryan P., Bryce Brown type of guy. I won't be disappointed if we don't land him. We did just great without Ryan P. and Adrain Peterson.
Not bad, dude's fast, but Michael Dyer's better. Lache can only be successful with good blocking, like i didn't really see him break many tackles at all. Dyer is almost as fast, and can break ones up the middle. Still, whoever gets this guy will be lucky.
i was in the class of 93. Best class of all time. State champs in football. Basketball team was like 35-1. Beat ellsion four times during the yr.lost to them in the playoffs by a fluke. Hell our brain storm team was ranked 2nd nationally. Soccer team final 8.
Not bad. 92 was better obviously. But our basketball team were regional finalist. Baseball went two rounds deep and football lost in the second round because of two bad calls on a fumble and an interception that they gave back to the Woodlands who were ranked #1 in the state and then went on to the state championship after beating us 28-20. And for soccer that year...Well it's soccer I think they were good every year I was there.
your right, soccer is always good at temple. That is good for baseball. The yr after i left from playing baseball, they went deep in the playoffs. I remember that woodlands game. I was there. I am still sick to my stomach about that one. The play where temple defender flipped the woodland guy up in the air and he fumbled and they called him down, then the fantom pass inteference call. The woodlands guy ran straight into the temple guy but they called inteference on us
Yeap that guy that got flipped and fumbled was danny amendola who played for Tech and is now with the Cowboys. You can clearly see that in the highlight video where he fumbled.
frdddy117, The farmers of america have no chance to land lache. It will be between texas and lsu the whole time. Texas will win out. Les miles is a snake!!
Im from Temple. Was on the playoff team from 2004. The last team to make it to the playoffs before this class came up. I watched him play many time last year. He is not scared to run people over, trust me. When u can outrun everyone why run over them? He runs a 10.3 hundred and a 4.3 40. He loved his visit to the University of Texas. Dude can play. Major Appliwhite says hes the best running back hes seen in the state.
Ya and that class would have graduated in 05. Therefore we were the class of 04. One of the best years at t-high. D-champs in baseball and basketball and runner up in football. Not to bad.
i know your not talking to me. I haven't missed a game in 8yrs. I have been supporting the wildcats for along time. I rode the bus to arlington lamar knowing what would happen. 63-21.I support the cats no matter what their record is.
hey boywonder. I doubt you know me. I graduated from temple in 93. Grew up on temple football as young as 5yrs old. Haven't missed a game in 8yrs. Anything else you want to know, just ask
You guys are knocking a 15 or 16 year old kid for not being the best thing since sliced bread. Does it really matter if all he does is run outside,or do you think getting killed by linebackers and safeties, make him better. I'm pretty sure all those guys left in his dust wish he would stay inside so they could lay one on him. Give him some time, and he can only improve. Think about it, don't you do your job better now than 2 years ago, he will get better its only natural
lache is 5"11. Archaic, your exactly right. When your faster than everyone on the fiedl you don't have to make alot of moves. He does just enough then blows by them
All he does is run to the outside, hes good but not as good as the hype hes getting. Michael Dyer is a running back in the same class and I thinks hes better than seastrunk.
hes fast but everybody is fast the next level.....but does he have power!! ps oregon is my squad.

i hope he goes to auburn but if he chooses baylor its probably cause he has more in mind than just football like he actually wants to go to a school and get a real degree
auburntigersfan9 2 years ago
he isnt going to baylor, its either Auburn, OU, LSU, Texas, or USC. but he is going to Texas. plus, Texas is better than Baylor academically anyway
corridor666 2 years ago
I hope he goes to Auburn so Michael Dyer will go to Arkansas!

What are the two schools? Is it Baylor and Auburn? I read a article where he said when he makes his decision it will shock some people
Scott402v 2 years ago
I hope it's not Baylor, I would hate to see him run all over my red raiders.
Griffin and this guy in the backfield would give me nightmares.

nickbretruth 2 years ago
Yeah he's gonna take his other visits because it's a chance to travel and see cool places for free, but in his heart he's already decided, and you can argue all you want but this is coming from Lache himself! Welcome to the Auburn family, the only school that puts real runningbacks in the NFL! War Damn Eagle, Lache!!!
aukevin47 2 years ago 2
damn right boss WDE
philaufan6 2 years ago
I hate to tell all you other guys, but if you read every comment that Lache has made since he visited Auburn this past weekend, he might as well already put that Auburn jersey on! "The best visit I've ever had in my life!" and that is a direct quote from Seastrunk! He said it's the only place he's ever visited that made him feel like part of a family! It's all over boys!
aukevin47 2 years ago 2
what up brett? congrats on the baby. anybody from temple know the word from t-town. seastrunk comin to austin? lache if you're reading this stay loyal to the state and your temple folks down here. you'll fit in perfectly at UT and be a bigger star than Ramonce. plus you can tag any chick you want in the city with the hottest chicks
BSwanson1985 2 years ago

hmm...did he really get 5stars for running to the outside every play?? he is speedy...
brianmitchell75 2 years ago
He physically reminds me of Barry Sanders, he has Barrys speed as well, not sure if he has as much burst/agility as Barry though.
Outsanex 2 years ago
uh... speed? yeah. he's fast. Barry's elusiveness? hell no. Barry's vision? hell no. Barry's agility? hell no. Barry's strength? hell no. No comparison to Barry at all. Noel devine and barry sanders, i can see that comparison. But this fool? No way. He's just fast. Plus he runs wayyy too upright. He'll get smashed by anybody who can catch him at the next level.
brionthelion 2 years ago
brionthelion is harping about comparisons, and that's all that was.Outanex never implied that Lache is as good as Barry Sanders was as a pro.and by the way, when he gets to the next level, i'm sure he'll be just as ready as he is right now at his level.idiot.
panzram97 2 years ago
I don't think he'll go to Texas. He seems like a primadonna Ryan P., Bryce Brown type of guy. I won't be disappointed if we don't land him. We did just great without Ryan P. and Adrain Peterson.
thatswedishguy 2 years ago
he's not like bryce brown or ap at all, they're more power backs. this kid isn't that physical, but he's gonna bank on that speed.
RazorbacksAndTool 2 years ago
same run everytime for like 60 yds
jzirpoli 3 years ago
LRC for life!!!!! Dyer is better but this kid is good but as stvsueoka1 said he only runs to the right
woopigsooie123 3 years ago
He destroys angles.
apureterror 3 years ago
Not bad, dude's fast, but Michael Dyer's better. Lache can only be successful with good blocking, like i didn't really see him break many tackles at all. Dyer is almost as fast, and can break ones up the middle. Still, whoever gets this guy will be lucky.
bennyl08 3 years ago
he looks good, but 99% of the time he runs to the right! even plays designed to go left he brings them back ... interesting
stvsueoka1 3 years ago
He's like Zoolander.
cla0002 2 years ago
very interesting. does he only have success going to the right or something?
wendigo6x3 2 years ago
you never know but sometimes that says more about the OL on that side than the RB .........

I would love to see him come to Running back U.... Auburn that is.

i was in the class of 93. Best class of all time. State champs in football. Basketball team was like 35-1. Beat ellsion four times during the yr.lost to them in the playoffs by a fluke. Hell our brain storm team was ranked 2nd nationally. Soccer team final 8.
coryorange 3 years ago
Not bad. 92 was better obviously. But our basketball team were regional finalist. Baseball went two rounds deep and football lost in the second round because of two bad calls on a fumble and an interception that they gave back to the Woodlands who were ranked #1 in the state and then went on to the state championship after beating us 28-20. And for soccer that year...Well it's soccer I think they were good every year I was there.
bfrieme42 3 years ago
your right, soccer is always good at temple. The woodlands guy ran straight into the temple guy but they called inteference on us
coryorange 3 years ago
Yeap that guy that got flipped and fumbled was danny amendola who played for Tech and is now with the Cowboys. You can clearly see that in the highlight video where he fumbled.
bfrieme42 3 years ago
Oh gotcha...u graduated in 93...Football season woulda been 92...my fault...ya I remember that State game.

frdddy117, The farmers of america have no chance to land lache. It will be between texas and lsu the whole time. Texas will win out. Les miles is a snake!!

boywonder123da 3 years ago
Im from Temple. Was on the playoff team from 2004. The last team to make it to the playoffs before this class came up. I watched him play many time last year. He is not scared to run people over, trust me. When u can outrun everyone why run over them? He runs a 10.3 hundred and a 4.3 40. He loved his visit to the University of Texas. Dude can play. Major Appliwhite says hes the best running back hes seen in the state.
bfrieme42 3 years ago
last tempole team that went to the playoffs was 2003. 2004 team was like 2-8
coryorange 3 years ago
ok coryorange i thnk he meant 04 cuz that class that graduated in 04 was on the 03 playoff team
boywonder123da 3 years ago
Ya and that class would have graduated in 05. Therefore we were the class of 04. One of the best years at t-high. D-champs in baseball and basketball and runner up in football. Not to bad.

boywonder123da 3 years ago
i know your not talking to me. I haven't missed a game in 8yrs. I have been supporting the wildcats for along time. I rode the bus to arlington lamar knowing what would happen. 63-21.I support the cats no matter what their record is.

coryorange..who r u
boywonder123da 3 years ago
hey boywonder. I doubt you know me. I graduated from temple in 93. Grew up on temple football as young as 5yrs old. Haven't missed a game in 8yrs. Anything else you want to know, just ask

well put archaic
MJOHN713 3 years ago
You guys are knocking a 15 or 16 year old kid for not being the best thing since sliced bread. Does it really matter if all he does is run outside,or do you think getting killed by linebackers and safeties, make him better. I'm pretty sure all those guys left in his dust wish he would stay inside so they could lay one on him. Give him some time, and he can only improve. Think about it, don't you do your job better now than 2 years ago, he will get better its only natural
Archaic304 3 years ago
lache is 5"11. Archaic, your exactly right. When your faster than everyone on the fiedl you don't have to make alot of moves. He does just enough then blows by them
coryorange 3 years ago
well put archaic
MJOHN713 3 years ago
All he does is run to the outside, hes good but not as good as the hype hes getting. Michael Dyer is a running back in the same class and I thinks hes better than seastrunk.
