  • I don't know where you got the mention of Niger Delta here, maybe you probably doesn't know the difference between Niger delta & river Niger,.

  • @fela4naija1 Good point, I meant the Niger basin not Niger delta. Will change it.

  • African-American writer James Baldwin, on traveling through a Swiss peasant village:

"The most illiterate among them is related, in a way that I am not, to Dante, Shakespeare, Michelangelo, Aeschylus, Da Vinci, Rembrandt and Racine; the cathedral at Chartres says something to them which it cannot to me. Out of their hymns and dances come Beethoven and Bach. Go back a few centuries and they are in their full glory--but I am in Africa, watching the conquerors arrive."

  • Good old granddad under the floor. Everybody should bury granddad under the floor.

  • People who enjoyed this should view "The Dogon Code: Linking Egypt and West Africa," it's also interesting that these amazing people were able to preserve their advanced knowledge as a result of being protected from Arab incursion by living in carved out cliffs (which they say were built by Angeles-much like the churches of Ethiopia)

  • I see alot of comments on so-called islamic arabs but no one can find where in quran or hadith that it says blacks are a slave race or blacks are savage.Actually the quran says adam and moses were black. And all men are equal in the eyes of god. What arabs do have very little to do with islam especailly since the rise of sufism in the 9th centory when theyembraced philosophyl.People went away from their god teachings and follow there own minds which is inherently flawed

  • @MarkellNyeusi What's racist can we have some proof

  • @romanljc go fuck yourself and die you miserable wretch

  • @kcoldkchill Go fuckyourself is not proof

  • @romanljc Your people are being killed each day for your offences against the true children of God! Your people's most highly esteemed prophet was a camel jockey as were the rest of your nomadic ancestors! Their being killed en mass and there is nothing you can do about it! Blacks were enslaved in order to keep them from falling prey to the heathen nations idols!! We were taken as slaves by way of ships just as the Bible stated the we would be!

  • @romanljc YOUR STUPID ASS HAS NOTHING TO DO BUT SPREAD YOUR BULLSHIT EVERYWHERE! YOU IGNORANT SCUM!

  • And as one traveller in the Sudan observed in 1930: “In the eyes of the Arab rulers of Sudan, the black slaves were simply animals given by Allah to make the life of the Arab comfortable.”

  • @romanljc That's why I hate Arabs, that bunch of turban thieves!

  • Even such luminaries as Ibn Sina [Avicenna] (980-1037), the most famous and influential of the philosopher-scientists of Islam, considered blacks to be “people who are by their very nature, slaves.”

  • al-Dimashqi had the following to say: “The Equator is inhabited by communities of blacks who may be numbered among the savage beasts. Their complexion and hair are burnt and they are physically and morally abnormal. Their brains almost boil from the sun’s heat.”

  • yeah because I suggest a book to read that means I've only ever read one book my whole life (I have an honours degree, I know how to research thank you). I wanted a rational debate but since that's too much to ask I'm done with this.

  • 3:48 Hmmm. No evidence of WARFARE in West Africa during the pre Islamic period. Eden before the great evil.

  • Where are the ruins???

In Rome and Greece I see ruins, here all I see is a desert.

  • @TheBrewskiBaby well, granted that these sites were as old as and older than Rome and even Greece, and that the materials they were made of were probably wood and clay... which wouldnt last as long as, say.. the Colosseum

  • @TheBrewskiBaby I see whole structures older than those in Greece and Rome in egypt :)

  • @0alstonw0 Egypt is a baby. What the whites have nicknamed Nubia is FAR older. Look up Qustul/Ta-seti. It predates Egypt by AT LEAST 200 years and some say a few thousand years. Qustul had hieroglyphics first, they had pharaohs first and they had temples first. Egypt was a offshoot of Qustul. Wasn't until later generations that the two had a fall out and Qustul fell to Egypt.

  • @BigPreme So if this is true why did African civilisations stop developing? I'd really like to understand this. They had big cities and stone buildings in places like Timbuktu and modern day Zimbabwe but that's as far as it went. No road networks like the Romans built, no wheel even, no plumbing, no technology of ANY kind. Why?

  • @Micj202 I am not going to do your research for you because I will not aid and abet scholastic laziness. However being that you seem to know very little about Africa you probably wont know where to start. Try looking up Dhar Tichitt, Ancient Axum, Ancient Nubia (which is older than Egypt), The civilization that was in the Sahara, The ancient site they found in Sierra Leone, Ancient Igbo Land, The kingdoms they have found in Southern Africa. to be cont....

  • @Micj202 Now, all of the places I have named are OLDER than Rome, but that is besides the point. If I were a betting man I would assume you are making statements based off of fiction you have heard from peers and ignorant adults who raised you. West Africa has only been recently excavated and to some VERY small extent. They claim and I stress claim they don't know much about Ancient Africa outside of Egypt, Nubia and Axum.

  • @Micj202 You know what a fractal is (if not, look it up). First people to use it in architecture specifically was Africa. You know the binary system that computers use? Africans have used that since ancient times. You know the math that computers use? Yeah, Africans gave the world that too. You know Stone Henge? Africans did that first in Senegal specifically. We are the oldest on the earth son. The child will never know or do more than the parent, just not how the universe works.

  • @BigPreme Well I might concede defeat on my knowledge of ancient African history despite the fact that I live in Africa. Its true I was raised under apartheid with a white skin and the notion of our racial superiority but I am a disciple of the TRUTH, that's all I'm interested in. I will research more into this subject because I believe in the canon of human history Africa has been unfairly ignored...

  • @BigPreme but... by the time westerners arrived on Africa's shores there was no trace of these civilisations. People were still living in the way Europeans were living four or five thousand years ago, that is a fact you cannot argue with. Southern Africa in particular went into decline long before westerners arrived and I'd simply like to know why.

  • @Micj202 According to who? Do research, do not rely on what someone told you. If there was nothing in Africa and whites could just waltz in and find people living in huts then why didn't whites walk into west africa and take slaves for themselves? They couldn't my friend, why is that? Neither could Arabs, they had to get permission from Africans. You are a victim of a education system built upon falsehood.

  • @BigPreme West Africa is one region of a very vast continent where I live and have travelled extensively while you've probably never been here at all. I've seen this land with my own eyes. Research can only go so far - it'll give you facts but not always in proportion. From what you argue it would sound as though Africa should have conquered and colonised Europe, but that didn't happen. Read 'Guns, Germs and Steel', it's answering my questions far better than you.

  • @Micj202 *chuckle* unlike you i am not a transplant, my family is from S. Leone. As I said, do research. You are miseducated and it shows painfully. One book is not research, thats light reading. Maybe you didn't attend university and do not understand the concept of research. Google what research is and then engage in it, THEN come talk to me.

  • @Micj202 , Wrong. The Ashanti Empire was wealthy glorious and powerful this is noted by by the first British envoy with whom they came in contact in early 1800's. read the book 'Fall of the Asante Empire' by Anthropologist Robert Edgerton. The Asante fought off the British for approx. 100 years. They comprised of 3 million people and had complex social, political and military institutions. True African history has been buried and maligned for a purpose.

  • @BigPreme Ibn Khaldūn (1332 – 1406) was a famous arab moor historian The only people who accept slavery are the Negroes, owing to their low degree of humanity and proximity to the animal stage

West Africa] to the south there is no civilization in the proper sense. There are only humans who are closer to dumb animals than to rational beings. They live in thickets and caves, and eat herbs and unprepared grain. They frequently eat each other. They cannot be considered human beings."

  • @romanljc You're attempts

  • @romanljc You're attempts to cherry pick Arab comments on the people of Africa is laughable!! Anyone who wants a true representation of African societies with respect to ancient observations should view: watch?v=m7OfuRFyxx4

  • @romanljc "The Negroes are of all peoples those who most abhor injustice…Complete and general safety one enjoys throughout the land (Mali Empire in West Africa)."2

Ibn Battua, 14th century Arab scholar who had traveled to China, India, East Africa, North Africa, and finally Mali.

  • @romanljc A 9th century biography on the prophet Muhammad, by Ibn Hisham, tells of a story where Muhammad instructs those who are being persecuted in Mecca to "go to Abyssinian (Ethiopia), you will find a king under whom none are persecuted. It is a land of righteousness where God will give you relief from what you are suffering."

  • @romanljc rofl

  • @romanljc lol, maybe he was confused with europeans.

  • @Micj202 Why because it's easy to live off the land in Africa so they never had to developed technology when people left the jungles of sub Africa they had to learn more things to survive its called evolution at work

  • @TheBrewskiBaby Alot of cities were made with with mud adobe which was easier. you also have to factor in materials, such location of good stone, the heat ,travel ,etc. I learned of a wall of Benin which was huge but it was all in wood which just rotted away.

  • @TheBrewskiBaby They are there under the sand my friend. West Africa is one of the least excavated placed in the world and I believe thats for a real reason.

  • @joabjoab have you ever tried ethiopian food?...neither have they :-(

  • @simbakafiri Hebashi (ethiopian) food is good except for that rubber bread (Injeera). I hate that crap.

  • i am a Nilotic Nubia from the nile valley...it's refreshing to see this in west africa..i am tired of hearing about my people and east africa yet africa is so huge

  • Oh yeah, I forgot! FUCK ISLAM

  • @TemplateX2: i think your suffering from superiority complex of sorts. Because where i come from, none is superior to another. Superior ity comes in the form of : cooking skills, soccer skills, weaponry e.t.c

But in terms of personnel, none is outrightly superior to any other. My advice to you is to grow up and stop trying to trample anyones aspiration. If you havent got the nerve to grab the bull by the horn, then "do one" instead of trying to impose your pathetic falacies.

  • @TemplateX2: Give your head a wobble for a sec; maybe... just maybe you'll be able to conjure some sense out of it because frankly you're talking giberish.

When are you going to stop blaming yourself for nothing in particular? There was nothing wrong with mother Africa and there still isnt; but if you dont get a grip of yourself then you'll only squander the opportunity of a life time. I'm sure the next generation would not forgive the likes of you for throwing in the towel.

  • morons where never born with wits

  • niggers never build a city

  • @williameva , and what have crackers done?

  • @williameva Well if thats, true from your 5 page book then we know for a "GRAND" fact that "calcified pineal" (whites lepers) did not build anything either. LOL

  • @williameva How you know that? Did you live in the 13th century? Do you have psych powers? Have you created a time machine? Do you have a degree in African studies? Otherwise, shut the hell up.. You wasting our comment space.

  • lol yal silly

  • @JACYRA01:im afraid i will have to disagree with the ''we will always be the dirt and ass of america'' part of your post. Peoples of African descent are not dirt nor ass of anyone period. Look around and think of the best things that has happened to the global village and guess who's behind most of the ''good stuff'' Well yes, we are behind most of the good stuff, its only a matter of time before things get put in their rightdful place. ''It might take an age, but the true will out in the end''

  • dang, Obama's own science czar John Holdren writes a book about eugenics and how the gov wants to kill off people yes its real and yes you should be mad about it because its from the same old racist greed vs. middleclass its sad because if your white like me you cant speak out on the media cuz your called racist if you do .

  • to go this route , like the cat chasing its tail its neverending. black manin the west equals crime, death and ignorance..

  • makes it inevitable that that same mind that doesnt believe it has a valid existence outside the white world it lives in will turn inwards to hurt itself thru all sorts of artificial harmful product.. rendering it to be nothing more than a toothless tiger..roaring a lot but not making much more than noise.. when education is your enemy you cannot beat the system you profess to dispise.. so the jails are filled with angry black men, mostly criminals some innocent, who are virtally doomed

  • over here in the uk, the fear, hatred and anger is the same, but the attidutes of the west indians is very different... they dont have any role models for black men especially as the carribeans didnt come here to further their education and go back home, they came here thinking it was home... big mistake ,as over 60 odd yrs later there is nothing to show for it. Besides it took me time to work out that a slave culture has an insidious by product, no identity wipes out self esteem in a way that

  • and getting apset that Disney didnt put out a black american prince on one of their cartoons.. this, to the black mind, is VERY IMPORTANT because its WHITE PEOPLE giving them some sort of RECOGNITION.. like a cat chasing its own tail, black america continues to pursue white recognition and of course doesnt get it so reacts in anger but against itself not against these same white people who they profess to dispise but really are desperate to find acceptance from. NOT EVER GOING TO HAPPEN..

  • for those few americans who care to use a bit more of their braincells that challenges more than their physical appearance or ability to throw a ball or sing a song, its very rewarding to find out the world didnt begin in 1776.For the most part, I find that black americans are more concerned in trying to justify their existence thru trying to validate it via white european history.. so its all about how black men who tights and hose and european culture which is of no interest to me whatsoever..

  • ANd like you said the blacks mimic their masters. The white masses are aloof and apathetic when it comes to other cultures and blacks follow them. Most people here couldnt find Ghana on a fucking map. Its a population tha genuinely believes that Africa and Latin AMerica and Asia have nothing of value to offer the world and never have. They judge africa without ever having been to africa. their minds are perverted by the lying text books they read in school and political propaganda

  • you are the most intelligent commentator i have seen on youtube about americans attidute towards africa and the rest of the world generally.. its pathetic.. a country with that much power to be populated by those who dont care to know about the world we live in and think thats its enough to ASSUME not EXPLORE what is actually out there.. not everyone is like that fortunately and there are SOME AMERICANS who do care to know and explore and study other cultures and ethnic groups..

  • we have a class system, and normal life does not revolve around white people or what they think or do that fear of whites and the anger is absent in africa or for the most part of it as south africa is no longer white ruled. and besides .. where are they we dont see them ?.they come to africa as workers not conquerers.. those days are long gone ... whereas issues of identity are uppermost in diaspora blacks minds, the issues that concern africans in all regions are very different.

  • i think you guys are 100% right b/c we were pulled from africa to america then trained to obey the whites but i dont blame whites. we had enough time to evolve from being slaves to modern civilized people but we settle for what they throw us.we need to forget about what happened to our ancestors and work on changing our future as a whole

  • I part agree.. but to FORGET the past is utter ignorance and a person who forgets the mistakes of their people is bound to repeat them.. I do not blame all whites for our current state BUT !!! I do blame the whites of the past for slavery SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY DONE IT !!!, but that does not mean I allow this to be my burden.. I agree that it is time to recognise the past is the past and we now need to focus on our future.. and i do not mean ''being the next Obama''.. I mean ''OUR FUTURE' as one

  • ok yeah youre right..obama made it as the first black president but thats his landmark, his highest achievement and that office dosent really benefit any african american in the usa.the only thing we recieved from that was if we united as one we can have almost anything we want, power comes with unity and positive thinking.imagine every state in america where blacks all agree on the same page and away from the streets and violence this would be an even greater nation

  • exactly, But we must also remember its alot bigger than the USA and the Symbolism of sub-conscious white racism and Obama's stand point are clearly in the open, For one.. Obama calls himself black due to his black heritage.. That heritage lies in Kenya.. I've heard him repeatedly say its America's priority to ''Stabalize Israel and its peoples'' and ''make america the great nation it once was again'' and not once have I heard even ''Stabalize and Provide Clean water for the Kenyan People''

  • His interests were never in helping anyone based upon our racial situation or stand point.. He has the mind of a house negro.. a man who wishes to keep masters house cleanwhile his brothers and sisters are out in fields dying and being abused.. his accomplishment is his accomplishment.. he played the race card simply with the incentive of pimping black people with it.. Milking it for all its worth.. Making people feel ''We'' have accomplished something when ''We'' are truly irrelevant..

  • finally somebody came out with the truth. he preached that sad song of being a son of a goat farmer n all that other b/s..but what about police brutality, wrongful imprisonment, uneducated teachers in the urban schools,we are at war in america with the white law. i dont hear anyone trying to help improve trhose situations.we will always be the dirt and ass of america

  • @AfrikanLiberty It is because of idiots like that blacks never would advance. I'm black and I recognize the superiority of white technology and general way of thinking. It is not a shame to adopt what is superior as many peoples have done before. "Field negroes" are simply retarded niggers that refuse to adapt to modern reality and thus left behind in their ghettos. You want to rise above, adopt the superior technology and mentality. Once you've risen above them, then you can trample anyone.

  • @TemplarX2 Im not sure if i agree with your statement my friend, my first response to this would be that you would have to study the lives of Kem people in Africa, and those that suceeded her, like those societies that they are speaking of in this video. Im a student of history, so i say to you the questions you might want to ask yourself is How did Kemet(Egypt) last so long? because she was the oldest and longest civilization in the world to date, second How do "you" define civilization?

  • @TemplarX2 u are noy black bitch

  • @TemplarX2 Lol, you devils are so funny, watching these videos and learning the truth and then portraying to be black and making ignorant comments about black people. That is really really sad. The truth must really hurt.

  • @LOU1982 You fucking nigger. I'm black. Africa is not good enough. Africa should aspire to be number one.

  • @TemplarX2 If you're calling somebody a 'fucking nigger', you are not black.

  • Black america takes it lead from white america so they dont really bother or care to bother to find out where they came from , they accept the view that africa is dirty, smelly and full of pot bellied fly riddent dafur refugees.. pity.. for them. I also have conversations with west indians who are the majority black presence in the uk, and they express amazment when you tell them that we have languages and cultures that differ vastly ,we have a class system,

  • "black america takes its lead from america"

Exactly. IN every way imaginable too. We do this because its exactly what weve been trained to do ever since we came off the first slave boat. Weve been trained to obey white people. Revere white people. Emualte white people. Because being ourselves doesnt suffice. This mental enslavement is the worst legacy of the chattel enslavement. BUt the racist U.S. mainstream press is to blame as well. We never get to see any healthy images of africa

  • @oluwalogbon58 i agree with you. we as black people been down for so long that we are waiting to be pushed around.look at northern africa, how the arabs repeatedly invaded that area until they colonized, enslaved and forced the muslim religion onto the blacks. and now we have black americans thinking they are truly muslims.when the arab muslim nation deeply hates blacks. we need to tkae charge of our own destiny and live one nation under god not false gods

  • @JACYRA01 I wouldn't say the Arab Muslim nation deeply hates blacks, black people have had a much better time in Arab nations as opposed to European ones.

  • wrong read about the arab slave trade.

  • @MajesticRootZ Re-read what I said.

  • oh i see

  • @mymarkis666 NO WAY. WHO DO YOU THINK BUILT EGYPT ? IT WASN'T ANY ARABS.

  • @conscioushaitian I know; what's your point?

  • . in london we have a museum dedicated to african history .. the museum of mankind.. worth a visit..

  • Does that museum include artifacts on ancient Egypt (kemet)? I tell you one thing, here in the UNited SNAKES of AMerikkka , there wil never be a museum or anything else dedicated to african history. IN Washington D.C. there is a museum honoring the victims of the so called "jewish holocaust". ON the other hand there are no museums in the United Snakes of Amerikkka honoring the tens millions of victims of the ongoing black holocaust. You wont even see postive images of africa on Tv

  • i remember going into the museum which is or was located in piccadilly which is an area of london better known as a tourist spot, it was a revelation.. not only is it didicated to africa but there was a complete replication of a west african village with sounds etc on sight.. you could google it to see if it still around i went there about twenty yrs ago... i do notice that americans generally are very ignorant of africa and its mass.. equating the whole continent to missisiphi or tenesse..!!

  • personally, i dont have a problem with america as its just another country to me. however, what is amazing is that, despite all its facilities and opportunities most of its people are intellectually very lazy and dont see the point in finding out about other cultures .. they assume a lot and thats based on their very limited world view which is zero.. the fact that they elected barack obama was a such a shift from that isolationist intrenched positioning.

  • Americans are very intellectually lazy because the school system is NOT an actual education system but a BRAINWASHING SYSTEM designed to shape and mold white minds into beleiveing they are everything special and wonderful and it shapes black minds into believing we have always been slaves. Americans have such an inflated sense of self importance. they are taught the they invented everything. they are responsible for "civilization" and everyone else is "primitive"

  • @preadamite1 The jews built their museum; who is gonna build that Slavery Museum for you? Crackers!? Blame ourselves before we blame others.

  • so students used to call it "jazz" ! our own people dont wallow in this history, as the tendency to take for granted what surrounds you prevails, but those blacks coming from the diaspora dont know anything about it as its not going to be taught by those whose best interest is kept by keeping these people ignorant to kept them pliant.. however, i do know that washington has a lot of museums, and they do contain some of this stuff..

  • west african history is devaluled by western media and underplayed because its not as documented in the same way egyptian history is.. however, we had extensive empires and civilisations .. i knew all that because at university in nigeria it was standard 101 history that we where taught .. l love history so i found it fascinating, others were just bored with it..but we had to study about those empires no matter what discipline you were studying..

  • ha ha lol that is not true come on man

  • Comment removed

  • If it doesnt make your blood boil to see this nasty, hairy ass pale beast teaching us or at least attempting to teach us OUR history and OUR LAND then what can! Everytime I watch a show and see them trying to tell us OUR history, it leaves me incensed because I know its fundamentally hypocritcal and disingenous. How can the same race of slime who lied for centuries about africas past in order to justify their barbaric treatment of africans, now come and "enlighten" us about africa?

  • I think the British are different but in America and other places they censor things that make blacks look good.

  • i dont understand why black americans and carribeans expect white people to teach them west african history when they are the product of a system that made sure that they would have no connection to west africa in any shape or form ..? afterall, slavery didnt remove your ancestors language, cultural identity etc white people did that to keep you in your place behind them, wanting to be like them and never questioning them.. its still working because anger doesnt produce much but inner turmoil

  • " I dont understand why black americans and cariibeans exect white people to each them african history"

WIth all due respect I dont think blacks in america expect white people to teach them anything aout west africa because Idont think black people in amerikkka have the slightest interest in their african past brother. Most black people are non chalant about africa and african history. they are oblivious to african history and thats because white people DONT TEACH it!

  • ITs no accident they are not black. I personally think its an underhanded insult to us as a race. Here you have this fucking pale beast that knows the TRUTH about our west african history, while 95% of us dont. SO its a deliberate disclosure about the high achievements of our pre-slavee boat history. But they cant allow black faces to disgorge these precious nuggets of truth because then black people would actually LISTEN. If these folsk were black it would REGISTER with black people

  • Jenne-Jeno has been excavated do you have videos?Saw Stonehenge-like monuments in Senegal on another site,do you have videos to show on youtube?

  • I don't. But if I did, be sure I would upload it straight away.

  • Hmm....How come the history books never told us this?

  • All the History Teachers at my school said was, "Nigger you came from nothing. Now fill out that w4 and build my Society".

  • @KamalKauffman: But then again, I think we are conditioned to conform to think like that still by the powers that be.

They've had to back off on that a bit over the past 50-60 years, because of more people waking up, but things still aren't right with this blue rock we call Earth.

Not to mention that racial supremacists{especially white, but others too},

religious fanatics{especially of the Abrahamic kind}, and many other groups of scoundrels are causing people to want to hate one another.....

  • lol not that it is funny but you know what we are so brainwashed by the europeans it is rediculous!

  • this , is the problem, when you are told you are rubbish and its white people , who diaspora blacks look to for guidance doing that, eventually mud sticks and it has that knock on effect. those same people adopt the nasty language being metted out to them and fight to keep that language because they are so brainwashed into believing what is being said to them having no defence against it. culture is the key, with a cultural identity you cant be beaten that is why that was removed from the slaves

  • greetings brother, i have subscribed to your channel, already,a fan of videos as well, me and sisnubia, much needed in our days and times, assante sane for your afrikantastic work, the ancestors will reward you for sure!

  • Thank you brother!

  • Acts 13:1 in the King James Version of Bible mentions "Niger" ... it was surely known by the Israelites

Acts 13 1Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

  • What the fuck does this statement of your have to do with this video?

    You bible thumping baffon!

Religion is the reason why we are in this BS and Christianity is the number one crack pipe you crack head!!!

  • and niger means black Simeon who was called black

  • Are you sure about that?

  • @MrsDomino What are you retarded? Use your head for sec. What would be a kike doing in Niger? Not because a random asshole tell you that you have to believe him.

  • Amen! I am so sick of white folks trying to teach us about our own lands. I'm suspicious of any one of them telling me about my ancestors and Ancient African Regions. Where are the Africoid local Teachers? There ARE some in existence still! And they would have the natural DNA connection that would offer answers authentically rather than some 'whitewashed, watered down western statements. Man! White people & mixed ones too are a sure sign of how our cuture is still being destroyed.

  • Whats so cold about it is that Ghana actually goes back to 1600 bc they are 400 stone settlements in the Tagnant Cliffs and Tachitt Walata, alot of historians still won't till you this but the Ghana empire rising in 300 AD was just a revival of Berbers capturing the city of Awkar in 300 bc,some settlements are older than some in Puntland and Ethiopia.

  • What show is this from?

  • It was from a BBC documentary called The Lost Libraries of Timbuktu or something like that. I thought the rest of the documentary was kinda boring, didn't really say anything new or interesting about Timuktu. But this little snippet caught my eye and had to get uploaded!

  • Oh please upload the rest of the vid. This is so interesting!!

  • again some european trying to tell people about land and history which had nothing to do with them ow the fuck are you discusing west africa without the west africas

  • @skylabx2000 why are Africans not telling their history? because they are too busy killing each other. I'm black and we should be kissing their ass for excavating this site.

  • @TemplarX2 I ain't kissing no one's ass unless it's the most beautifulest black woman on this planet.

  • if europeans didnt start their lying crap we wouldn't have to be arguing this nonsense. get ur mind right euros and stop causing confusion and stealing land

  • Anyone know the title of the tune between 0:00 and 0:34?

  • A quick look at this book will be helpful "the prides of blacks over the whites" (literally black over brown skin) by Al-Jahiz written in the 9th century.

In the book Jahiz recalls what he remembers about the boasts of the Sudan (meaning south of the Sahara) The Arabs and Egyptians both have ancestry that goes back to black African colonists so what applies to Arabs applies to Egyptians

"If the appellation dark-skinned applies to us, then we are the pure Sudan, and the Arabs only resemble us"

  • (cont) Close spaces in the link bellow to read what I'm quoting from

    geocities . com/pieterderideaux/jahiz . html

I should note Jahiz is actually quoting the Zanj who are black of course

"The Blacks continue: coming from Abyssinia, we were Masters of the country of Arabia up to Mecca, and on all the country our law reigned. We put to rout Du Nuwas, killed by the 'Aqyal Himyarites. You, you never dominated our country. Your poet says (Tawil): They ruined Gumdan and threw its roof down."

  • A note about the nations of the Sudan (Africa bellow the Sahara)

The three most well known ethnic groups of the Eastern Sudan (East Africa) were the Ethiopians, Nubians and Zanj. The Swahili were mostly Zanj and other ethnic groups (the other ethnic groups were also Sudan or blacks though). Those three were the most well known because they were three that had the most power and influence

  • When the book I'm quoting says black or Negro it can be confusing but the word Zanj is a specific people of the Sudan (Africa bellow the Sahara)

  • if what this says is true it shows that the Bantu were not a passive people.

"They say; If a Zanji and a Zanji women marry and their children remain after puberty in Iraq, they come to rule the roost thanks to their numbers, endurance, knowledge, and efficiency. On the other hand, the child of an Indian and an Indian woman, or of a Greek and a Greek woman, or of a Khurasani and a Khurasani women remain among you and in your country in the same condition as their fathers and mothers."

  • See I understand the book your talking about but what I am saying most dont realize Nubia came before Egypt, The nile flow south to north Egypt became a latter nation < after the 13th dynasty of EGYPT's is when Arabs took over and that when most of our people exodus through out the rest of Africa (south & the west), from there Then we can talk about The Ghana Empire ,Mali's,etc..(all of them were A.D),

and soon to come our complete down fall "SLAVERY" from the west coast of Alkebulan

  • I think Egyptians traveling south was just immigration. There was contact between Egypt and other African nations through the Middle Ages.

In "Timbuktu the Mysterious" page 96 Félix Dubois talks about relations between Songhay and Egypt. When he talks about an exodus he even says it is a theory

  • thx Ill check out the book

but I never said west Africa was conquered, and what I keep saying to you Is All of this and Egypt during, the middle ages all of that is basiclly A.D NOT B.C (ancient times) before the conquering.

just answer this then do you believe life started on the Nile? If yes, do the math Im not focusing on civilizations(of course I know they exisisted ,Its our heritage), But Im speaking of ORIGINS to show you what I mean that ALL Africans are of the same descent

  • dont let them put creases and gaps in our history, in order to understand it fully you must always know the VERY beginning. I know the west was powerful and they cant dispute that because it wasnt conquered, and I know alot of bros and sis wonder why most focus on Kemet & Nubia, because they are the key to ORIGIN,they cant and wont argue for the west cause they know thats where they stole us. They want to throw us from Kemet and Nubia because most of today's culture is based off those 2

  • "just answer this then do you believe life started on the Nile?"

I'm leaning towards Ethiopia as the cradle of mankind

"to show you what I mean that ALL Africans are of the same descent"

    yes all human beings too

  • Yes to the Nile for Africans(BLK's) but not all human beings. Our DNA is different as well as our physical build up (frame & skull etc..) from others. If everyone came from the same origin even if some migrated the others would of know this there would be no races and they would of regconized blacks when they first stepped foot back on Africa if that was the case, Historic text from others would of known us, Like The Egyptians described Nubia as darker BUT still acknowledge them to be the same

  • Have you heard about Queen Elizabeth's involvement in the Moroccan invasion of Songhay. It was divide and conquer just like European colonialists did all over the world

  • According to this article the local people say the fall of Ghana was because of drought

  • We Africans in the Americas,The U.K, Haiti, where else we spreaded out to is the same Africans we always been since the begining of time. Maybe differnt culture, different language, for some blood and DNA a little tamperd but all in all the the same Africans, For some of you lacking in history the whites are the one who really broke Africa into sections. you might had the north and south but in those time Africans was Africans it was no Uganda(The name)Kenya etc..Africa is really not its real name

  • About confusion of the word Sudan. Bilal al-Sudan

in Arabic means land of the Sudan and Sudan is often translated as "Negro". When an Arabic translation says "Negroland" the Arabic is "Bilal al-Sudan" kind of like what we say "Sub-Saharan Africa"

  • Don't you think the whole idea of Arabs dominating blacks makes blacks look weak and inferior?

  • The only weakness My ancestors had was befriending the Arabs which in turn, turned out to backstab us, we thought we could trust them, do to the point them being semetic people but as you can see what happend they are the REAL perps of the "Atlantic Slave Trade". Everything they touch they try to destroy ,they want to destroy Israel, you see the standing between them and us (U.S.A) etc.... Kind of make me wish Russia defeated them in the 80's. My heritage took a blow but not out the fight TRUST

  • You are thinking about the modern country of Sudan. When I said western Sudan I meant the Arab use of the term not the modern country

And man this is a very serious issue the idea of Arab domination of blacks is an important part of racist Historiography

  • The bellow in quotations is another racist myth. It's important to know that people from the western Sudan were not only making pilgrimages to Mecca but had close contacts with countries of the north long before the 14th century.

"After all, that was when the first west African leader of note, Mansa Musa made the FIRST pilgrimage to Mecca"

  • About this comment you made earlier there is a myth or mistranslation that Ibn Khaldun said Abu Ishak introduced architecture to Mali. What Ibn Khaldun said was that Mansa Musa wanted to build a fine palace and Abu Ishak showed him a model

"We have to make sure the Euroclowns and the arabs don't attempt to attribute ANYTHING European or arabic to Africa until about the 13th century. After all, that was when the first west African leader of note, Mansa Musa made the FIRST pilgrimage to Mecca."

  • Alot of you all have it wrong.most of you are talking A.D. Egypt & Nubia was up and well running b4 the Europeans & Arabs even came on the scene, The nations were already on the verge of collapse and in corruption thats why they maked so-called agreements and Arabs,Romans ,etc..sease the opportunnity to conquer a weaken nation while they were weak. But all this talk about making this negro from another negro stronger is a insult to your own intelligence to believe that shit

  • The Arabs, Egyptians, Ethiopians and Nubians are all related. The turmoil of that period that the others were going through was also happening to the Arabs. Come to think of it all those groups were on the same side, after all the Egyptians saw the Arabs as liberators and helped them drive out the Romans.

The Arabs depended on good relations with people in the far south for trade and support. I don't think the Arab conquests could have happened without the southern people backing them

  • I agree totally, except the related part. But YES they we suppose to have union. But like I said we see what happened

  • I'm making a point about the way you are buying into racist colonial propaganda.

  • "BLACK people pretending to arabic and killing other black"

Scholars classified those "blacks" as Arabs because they were judged as superior to the true Negro

"Here and there these different sections of the Negritic stock mingled, producing races superior to the pure negro, like the Nubians, the Somalis, and the Fulbe, which dwell more or less on the borderland between the negro and the Hamite"

"British Central Africa" By Harry Hamilton Johnston page 54 written in 1898

  • How is that any different from what has happened in Rwanda. Arabs and Hamites are both races that are superior to Negroes, both came to Africa before the European

  • "camel jockey? Okay. Go back to the casbah before your arab master decides to beat you again"

Your Arab overlords are a colonial invention, a figment of your imagination. Did you know a century ago it became a popular idea amongst many racists that the Bantu were not true Negroes?

This is from "Africa" by Ethlyn T. Clough

  • They are mixed with Hamites

"Many of them are handsome, even from the European standpoint, with aqueline features and sometimes a complexion not darker than that of Southern Europeans. They -are a pastoral and agricultural people, breeding cattle in immense quantities, and cultivating cerials, principally mealies (maize) and Kaffir corn (millet). The Bantus are capable of a considerable degree of civilization, and their mental and moral qualities are higher than those of any negro race"

  • Where could I get this full video?

  • It's from a BBC documentary called "The Lost Libraries of Timbuktu." I found most of it to be a bit dull actually, but this little segment was interesting.

  • andy7666: Egypt is aswell black history. If you deny this simple fact then you are crazy. Ancient Egyptians did not consider themself as arabs like the modern egyptian do. When ancient egypt was at the peak there was many semetic who went there. Jews, syrians and assyirans. (Historical fact) But this dont changes the origion of Ancient egypians. They where pure africans.

They your garbage and go. We know our history.

  • There you go - Blacks should focus on this - here is thier culture, NOT Egypt (there are plenty of Egyptians alive today and they would argue that thier ancestors were black - it would be quite obvious for a start!). Where are the black archaeologists though? Get to uni - learn about your past and stop blaming Whitey!

  • there where muslim in horn of africa before that ok west africas history is not all of africas history OK

  • "no evidence of warfare..we don't know why that is..." It's called civilization. I know, it's hard for us Westerners to understand. LOL

  • Good one!
