Cece has worked with Whitney many times and is her daughter's godmother, I believe, also very close friends. Whitney's mother is a gospel singer, Whitney herself is a Christian. I doubt with all the pressure she was under at this time she would mind getting prayed for.

People die in their addictions because they won't adhere to the word of God and to his will. My mother was an addict. So were many of her friends. A few of them have been drug free for nearly 10-20 years. Some of them fell back into their old ways. The point is that you have to want to let your addictions go, resist temptation, and fill your old ways with new ones that are healthy.
People pray everyday for family members with drug addictions. People pray for the sick to get well and the starved to stop starving but it doesn't happen. Where are all these wasted prayers going to? The point is, why pray if "God's will" can't be changed. If no matter how hard I pray for my friend she still is going to die then why waste my breath?
that's one out of how many people that die everyday?

If prayers get answered then the world wouldn't be like it is today. Don't even try to bring in free will because if God was soooo good, he wouldn't have made the world like it is in the first place.
God didn't make the world like it is. What HE made was good. Mankind fell to sin. He sent Jesus for our redemption. And that is why we pray, "In Jesus' Name."
But He knew what was going to happen right?! If He knew what was going to happen, all the suffering from other humans AND natural disasters, then He could have easily made something different.
Then in the end He's going to wipe out the world and start over again? That's a huge "oops, my bad" on His part for such a perfect God.
That is why free will makes no sense. There can't exist a God who has complete control over the universe and human beings who make their own decisions.
Contd: God knew Whitney was going to be a drug addict...so she couldn't have chosen any other way. That's like a author knows what their character is going to do. The character doesn't make the choice (although the reader might feel that way), ultimately it is the author who laid out the story.
Just because God knew what we would do, does not mean we have no control. It simply means he reacts to your action. I believe God decided to make the world anyhoo because there are people who are living fruitful and god filled lives. You have to believe that your friend will not die in the addiction. He or she has to believe it too. When people don't believe, you're right, there is no deliverance. At least, those who do believe have hope.

Just curious how people don't have faith but spend most of their time arguing about something they don't believe in.
I think you're asking way too much of some people. Most people have never questioned what they believe; they just embrace it simply because their parents taught them, and their parents before THEM. Very few individuals actually ask themselves "Why do I believe what I believe?"
God created mankind in his image and gave us dominion over the earth. Here on earth we are free to make choices. God's plan is greater than us. His will is carried out whether we choose to line up with it or not. Prayer is effective when it lines up with accomplishing his will. What made you watch this video? lol

Arguing a "belief" (versus a "fact") is pointless. In the end, the only "reality" is perception...to most people, what they believe is only what matters and what is reality to THEM. As an agnostic, I understand that none of us were around in the beginning, so religion is nothing more than spectulation about an aspect of reality that (outside of individual "faith"), we cannot know. BTW, it should be a crime to have THAT much "fine" in one room! ;)

People die in their addictions because they won't adhere to the word of God and to his will. My mother was an addict. So were many of her friends. A few of them have been drug free for nearly 10-20 years. Some of them fell back into their old ways. The point is that you have to want to let your addictions go, resist temptation, and fill your old ways with new ones that are healthy.

People pray everyday for family members with drug addictions. People pray for the sick to get well and the starved to stop starving but it doesn't happen. Where are all these wasted prayers going to? The point is, why pray if "God's will" can't be changed. If no matter how hard I pray for my friend she still is going to die then why waste my breath?

But He knew what was going to happen right?! If He knew what was going to happen, all the suffering from other humans AND natural disasters, then He could have easily made something different.
Then in the end He's going to wipe out the world and start over again? That's a huge "oops, my bad" on His part for such a perfect God.
That is why free will makes no sense. There can't exist a God who has complete control over the universe and human beings who make their own decisions.

Contd: God knew Whitney was going to be a drug addict...so she couldn't have chosen any other way. That's like a author knows what their character is going to do. The character doesn't make the choice (although the reader might feel that way), ultimately it is the author who laid out the story.

Just because God knew what we would do, does not mean we have no control. It simply means he reacts to your action. I believe God decided to make the world anyhoo because there are people who are living fruitful and god filled lives. You have to believe that your friend will not die in the addiction. He or she has to believe it too. When people don't believe, you're right, there is no deliverance. At least, those who do believe have hope.

I think you're asking way too much of some people. Most people have never questioned what they believe; they just embrace it simply because their parents taught them, and their parents before THEM. Very few individuals actually ask themselves "Why do I believe what I believe?"

No.. we don't control Gods actions.... the bible says that HIS Ways are Higher than ours... No man can trully say they know what GOD is going to do exactly, because he is MYSTERIOUS... He is the Master... and we are the SERVANTS...The master NEVER gives the SERVANTS **ALL** of the information.. the WHYS.. or the WHATS... if He did, THEN we would be on his level!! in other words.
