I really don't think paying $1000 for a tablet PC based on a phone is going to have as large of an effect on gaming as people think it will. Because as far as starting up goes, a game system would be cheaper. Especially in comparison to a phone/tablet with a locked-in plan.

Then again, the actually _GAMES_ on the tablet and phone seem to be WAAAAAY cheaper, so maybe it'll balance out.

In any case, If I go portable with my gaming any time soon, it's going to be a DS/GBA. I'm broke.

Anybody who's a professional multimedia developer will realise that both systems are good for different tasks. Period.

Mac VS PC (Windows) isn't a valid argument, it's preference.

Windows runs Adobe apps better than Mac, Mac runs other multimedia apps better than Windows.

Get over it and instead of going around in circles, do something productive.

Everything I do, can be done on both machines, runnings Windows of couse, just as well, the hardware of the system determines your productivity, not the computer manufacturer.

Well you can get much higher graphical power for 3D animation etc on a Windows machine compared to a Mac as Macs top out at the Mac Pro level. Although, not many consumers would need that kind of power, there are some who do.

The computer manufacturer can have impact on the hardware that they sell though, for example, I found both of my high-end HP computers to be horrible, mainly because of the drivers - not the hardware itself though.

I was talking about operating system. The OS does decide what you can and can't do because not all applications are available on both systems.

Well I don't know what you do, so I can't really pin point something, that's way too difficult.

Whether you can accomplish the same thing on Windows and Mac or not, certain apps perform better on each OS and certain apps are better for certain tasks. Generally I find that I need both - even though I don't own a Mac at the moment, I've been needing to buy one for a while.

Well, I can accomplish something on a Mac running Windows, the computer is not the issue, most of mine is software based, so if I have Windows, on any system I am good.

I would just get a hacked copy OS X to run in VMware, lol.

Well, they have hacked 64bit versions as well, and in VMware you can run both 32 and 64, if you have a 64bit host I believe.

I have come across 64bit versions, but aside from that you can even install a unhacked version in VMware, you just need the proper patches, and boot loader.

Implying the PSP is solely for gaming is the most uneducated comment I've ever heard. It's a media playback device, as well as a web browsing device among other things. The DS however is much more rudimentary. While it can be hacked to receive similar capabilities that the PSP commes equipped with, it's not a media playback devide on the same account as the PSP.

My laptop only has like 1 gig of RAM and its speed is clocked at 2.13GHz.....its not bad,it gets the job done but for gaming its only good for old games(Emulators rock on it lol)
