@binghana She performs E elements in combination; all of the 1 armed spins you see are E elements, the same value as He Kexin's first release move. It's all an intricate process of combinations and difficult skills. If you would like the complete breakdowns, just ask me.

It was totally unfair that she got silver!! Yes they both had some mistakes in their routines but hers was clearly better! Not to mention that most likely He Kixen was under age. Awsome Job Nastia!!
@twilitebug Unfair? If you want to talk about this, I want to say that it was unfair that Yang Yilin only got a bronze medal! Look at Nastia Liukin's bars routine, in her turns, her legs were not clued together, there was a big gap! Especially the pak salto, it's ugly. Also, her frog-like dismount is ugly. Although she has great body line, but she did had many problems in her bars routine. He kexin and Yang Yilin deserved the gold medal. Yang yilin should get a score higher than Nastia Liukin!
@iamyukilee - Yes this is only my opinion, but if you look at how much they were taking off for certain errors (bent knees, late turns ect....) He Kixen had more "costly" deductions. I do agree that Yang Yilin was underscored, but the scoring was all over the place in Bejing! Everyone was spectacular but both you and me just have to accept the way things worked out I guess.
@MsEmm22 In this quad, the elements were given a difficulty value and were worth a certain amount of points. The top ten elements in the routine are then added together along with any connection value and points given for filling routine requirements. All of this adds up to what was called the A Score, which in this routine is the 7.70. Then deductions for flaws in execution were taken from a 10.0, which is the B Score, which in this routine is the 9.025. The A and B score were... continued
@MsEmm22 contiued... then added together to create a Total Score, which in this routine is the 16.725. The code used today is similar; except only eight elements are counted and the A score is now the D score and the B score is now the E score. Also, execution deductions are generally more severe as well as some element values and connection values have been changed.
@Missnewyork28 Semenova has many more form breaks, including late regular grip pirouetting and bent arms as well as a soft back, and she has three tenths lower in difficulty. an 7.7+8.9 still beats a 7.4+9.1, so she would have to be a lot better in execution to beat Liukin, and she wasn't better at all.
Liukin had late turn, leg separation all over, and EXCESSIVE bent legs.she also cowboy her double front dimount, the judges never took the deduction that should be taken.Liukin also has little power and height on her vault. On beam, she connects skills with snail-speed to get less deduction. On 2007 worlds beam final, I'm very sure that she had a MAJOR wable and still won.On floor,Liukin always crosses her leg to make them look like scissors, each one should take 0.3 deduction, but NONE was deducted.
He Kexin and Yang Yilin were so much better than Nastia at the UB event.
Nastia made mistakes that were quite visible even for the untrained eye (like me). The chinese gymnastics overall deserved to win, their routines were awesome. And I'm not chinese or american so you can't say I'm biased.

If they're going to have a tie breaker, they should break it by the qualifying score. The way they broke it didn't mean that Kexin's routine was any better because they dropped a lower score for her. I the best way to see who is best is if they can be the best in the world twice (qualification score)
This was a very difficult and well-executed routine. The skills in this routine are very impressive - she has GREAT height and her handstands are exquisite. But she does separate her legs quite a bit throughout her routine, and she is known for cowboying a little too much. I LOVE her bars routine but there are a few areas that she could still improve upon.
whatever and when u said that people in china call He Kexin the princess on bars and Nastia the jumping frog or whatever, Im Chinese and actually yeah they do call He Kexin princess of the bars but NO they dont call Nastia the FROG!! I friggin LOVE nastia and shawn johnson!!! i hate my own countrys team
nastia is always-usaully-good on bars, it just that little leg seperation on the dismount that i found which went wrong. shes amazing on bars tho, its her fav apparatus!
@msbunnypaws I know. It blows my mind too how terrible her form was on that double front half dismount. Look at her flailing legs going all over the place. It reminds me of high school biology where after we finished dissecting the frog ...double front right into the trash can. Why does she add that half twist in there anyway? She doesn't get any extra points for it. I think her dismount would look much better without it. The dead frog certainly did.
@bikerOGX Also, what a weird thing to say. Honestly, your life seems really pathetic and sad. I'm ignoring you from now on, so if you feel tempted to continue stalking me, have fun.
@msbunnypaws That's the smartest comment you've made so far. Ignoring me is much better than arguing with me, cause you KNOW I'm always right. Nastia's dismount was terrible. Ask anyone who knows about gymnastics scoring and they'll tell you the same. I've heard in China, they call He Kexin the "Princess of the Uneven Bars." You know what they call Nastia? The "Frog Queen." Do you think it has anything to do with her dismount? They love Shawn Johnson though. LOL!
great dismount! she sticked that dismount like she should. We have seen many other attempts of this ruiteen by nastia, and she never seems to stick the landing. I think that sticking it, is just an acomplishment in itself.
@MeowcatBissy Her routine was beautiful, but Beth had a very hard routine and her only mistake was a stumble. Yang should've gotten silver, Nastia has a lovely bar routine and she looks beautiful doing it, but Yang was stunning.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@MeowcatBissy Personally, Yang's routine didnt make my draw drop. I mean, yes, it is far better than some others routines, but I dont think it shows her personality that well.
@xolemonlime2 She got docked for the legs being forced apart, also called a cowboy, which warrants a 0.3 deduction. Cowboying is quite common...almost everyone who dismounts with a double front does that, or a double front on floor, or most of the men (and Produnova) who do a double front vault, or gymnasts who do triple back dismounts/passes. Some might say she took a step, that is true, but it isn't deductible because she steps inward (giving her less support, shows she stuck), not outward.
@desorden150 Yes, nowadays the execution scores are ridiculously low and the judges will take anything they possibly can, and in some cases, even make up fake deductions (watch the gold medal pommel horse performance from the 2009 worlds, even the USA commentators (the smart ones anyway) couldn't find any deductions)
A seemingly perfect routine can be sabotaged by a judge if it has a low degree of difficulty, their scores were quite low even before the 2009 rule change!
Wasn't it difficult in some ways during 1968-2000 when Nadia Comaneci gained her seven tens? Because the style and rules did limit the gymnasts. And the tricks known then were considered difficult. Though the ones now are considerably more difficult.
@ChainChomp2 what does the execution panel have to do with the difficulty panel? and what are you talking about, "the judges make up fake deductions?" ALL of these deductions are clear to people who have experience coaching or judging, or even experience as gymnasts. just because tim daggett exaggerates for the sake of TV doesn't mean there is some evil conspiracy to tear down scores. the Code was revised to make E-panels more important because some were going 9.6 with non-stuck landings in 08
@mydogwearsacape It's influence that plagued the competitions circa 2007-2008, compare Jana Komrskova from the 2007 vault finals or Nastia's 2008 AA vault to other more-difficult vaults from that era, Jana was getting 9.2's with two perfect vaults and other sloppy vaults were getting 9.3-9.4. Then come bar routines with upwards of 7.4 difficulty, normally you'd find over 1.3 in deductions in most of them, but they score a lot over 9.0.
@ChainChomp2 none of this is true. the deductions are there. i will PM them to you. the reason harder UB routines don't seem to get deducted as much is because you cannot execute UB poorly and still connect difficult elements. this is why he kexin scored so highly at 2009 Worlds despite having a hard routine. if your alignment and swing isn't precise you cannot connect a bunch of D and E elements.

Nastia AND He Kexin were horribly overscored in the execution department...all the problems they had including jerky kips, leg separations, late turns, and dismount problems all warrant a lot more than a point in deduction. The real top 2 would be Yang Yilin and Beth Tweddle who show better form and better releases apart from Nastia's Geinger and Kexin's straight Jaeger (Tweddle form-wise is questionable though, and Yang Yilin had several late turns and short casts)
@481095ymg2 Tweddle's kips had flow through them (like Nastia I suppose) but she didn't have as many leg separations as Nastia. Even with the fiasco of the toe-on full before the dismount she deserved here 8.8 B score, Nastia had one or two late turns (her Ono 3/2 comes before a release so it's a 0.1) but her low bar pirouette was a definite 0.5 even though it's hard to see, and then you've got that silly dismount for another 0.3. Kexin had two bad turns, but also a dead hang and bad kips.
@ChainChomp2 Even with what was mentioned (although I think most judges would take only .3 on the low bar) Tweddle does not have the same line or handstands (especially on her ono) that both He Kexin and Nastia have. What Tweddle has is power, not execution.
@481095ymg2 I found five leg separations in this routine on her forward giants, her swing to Tkatchev, and her Pak, each being a 0.1, and she also bends her knees when she swings, which is another 0.1 each time, her late turn is really hard to see from this angle, which is why the commentators never said anything about it (no replay either). Silver or bronze for sure, but none of them were really gold-worthy except Yilin.
@ChainChomp2 Yang Yilin did not have the flow throughout her routine that Nastia and He Kexin did. All of her kips are very struggled and she did not have the best handstands. Yang Yilin was much better in the team finals and deserved her score and the bronze medal she received.
@481095ymg2 Would you agree that this was a horrible Olympic bar final? Her kips were just as bad as Kexin's but she doesn't have leg separations and doesn't get amplitude on her releases, but no dead hang and she stuck the dismount. As far as swinging flow she has lots, as far as kips, well we all know don't we? I say blame this Australian judge for all the weird scores we got and agree to disagree.
@lilcrane21891 It can't not matter nor can it matter, maybe not to you, but it's an opinion, it doesn't HAVE to matter. Anyway, you must feel really proud, where is your detailed analysis for this argument? Troll much.
@ChainChomp2 You may have a point about Nastia and her leg separation but all three medal winners deserved there medals. Beth barely made it out of the medals and thats sometimes just how it goes.
Definately gold. All griping about "casual" and experienced observers aside, the chinese team was underage, and they never should have so easily turned a blind eye. They were yoo young, and since the Olympics, one of the chinese competitors even admitted it.
lol i like how he says in qualifying she stumbled and took some steps back...she fell on her ass! and still qualified top 8! i still think she shouldve won over that infant he kexin.
Yes, it's because Nastia just doesn't have enough power to pull off her double front 1/2 dismount. She has to cheat and pull her knees into her body just to get enough rotation to land the thing. The result is that she looks like a "frog taking a dump," but casual observers just look at the landing and think it is perfect.
I think that comes from the fact that she is long-legged. Khorkina had that problem too I think. Very hard to get the somersaults to look as good as a short-legged gymnast. Even on floor, her twisting looks much better than double somersaults.
You can say she was over-scored, loses form, and any other negative comment you can throw at her, but the fact was the judges were scoring her higher than He Kexin before the event final (in both preliminaries and team final). I have no idea why the IOC was pressuring the FIG to eliminate tied results, but they should have shared gold if they both received the same EXACT score. Same goes for the men's vault final..Thomas Bouhail should have shared gold with Leszek Blanik.
Yeah, but the fact was the judges scored her lower than He Kexin during the event final...you know, the one that actually counts. You erroneously stated that they received the "same EXACT score" because you conveniently left out the results of the tie-breaker. Maybe Brett Favre could be going to the Superbowl if people conveniently left out what happened in the tiebreaker against the Saints.
As to why the IOC might want to do away with ties, it probably just a simple question of logistics. Let's pretend we are talking about the team finals. If two teams somehow tie for the gold, are you just going to pull an extra 6 gold medals out of your ass for the medal presentation? So you would need to produce an extra 6 gold medals beforehand. Great. Now what if two teams tie for silver? What about bronze? Now multiply that by every other sport. I think you now see why.
I've known the exact tie-breaking procedure since the 2006-2008 Code of Points was implemented and no, I didn't conveniently leave out the tie-breaker because their final A scores and B scores were exactly the same. The second level tie-breaker that determined the winner ONLY averaged three of the remaining highest marks for their B scores.
So you're saying the exact tie-breaking procedure existed since at least before 2006. Why only complain about it years later when the results don't go your way?
Final Score after overtime period:
Saints: 31 (Winner)
Vikings: 28
Final Score after 2nd level tie-breaker:
He Kexin: 9.066 (Winner)
Liukin: 9.033
Brett Favre doesn't bitch about the rules after the fact. Nastia Liukin doesn't bitch about the rules after the fact. Why do you?
Favre and Liukin CAN bitch too, but they don't. Maybe it's because they understand good sportsmanship and have some class in showing respect for their opponent after a tough lost.
As per the IOC pressuring the FIG, I understand your (and presumably their) line of reasoning. But your example is way far-fetched: There has NEVER been a team tie in ANY gymnastics competition. Not even NCAA or those lesser known international comps.
Ties in INDIVIDUAL event finals are much more reasonable. They didn't have a problem doing it before the ban in 2000.
Then you prove my point. It is highly unlikely, yet it COULD HAPPEN. So why should the IOC waste it's resources on preparing for such an unlikely event? Why not just simply put in a tie-breaker. Gold doesn't grow on trees you know.
@bikerOGX, we are not talking about the team finals, though. It's really not that difficult to an only ONE extra medal. Now, I can see why you would be annoyed if you had to make six more, but this is the event finals. Not the team finals.
It's because Kexin knocked Nastia off the balance beam with an awesome 1-2 jab combo during the "Sudden-Death Pugil Stick Fight on Beam Tiebreaker" as specified by the new code of points. Broke two of Nastia's ribs...which still hasn't healed completely. That's why she missed the World Championships in London. Any more stupid questions?
Through the tie-breaker system they take the remaining 4 judges scores that make up the 9.025 in execution they both had. Kexin: 9.1, 9.0, 9.1, 8.9 = 9.025 Nastia: 9.1, 9.0, 9.0, 9.0 = 9.025 The tiebreaker says take the next lowest scores from both and throw them out and you get: Kexin: 9.1, 9.0, 9.1 = 9.067 Nastia: 9.1, 9.0, 9.0 = 9.034 Because He Kexin has a 0.1 lead on judge's marks that ranks her above Nastia.
@TsubasaDreams- oh my god do you have any idea how hard tht crap is....whether you meant criticism or not, there is no reason to point out her miniscule flaws. That's what those snobby judges are for.
It was only a tie until the tie-breaker was applied, then it wasn't a tie anymore. It's like in football when a game ends tied in regulation, but overtime is used to determine the winner. In this case, He Kexin won. Accept it. Why is that so hard to understand?
@bikerOGX yes i can i accept it, im just saying i personally don't agree with tie-breakers in this sport, especially for event finals. If you are competing for one event then only that event should matter ... in my opinion. In 1996 Amy Chow and Be Weijing tied for second in bars which was fine in my book. There were only tie breakers applied at this Olympics (that i know of). No mater what rules apply, they both tied in their bars score which is all that matters to me.
My point is that it doesn't do any good to bitch about the tie break rules after the fact. In pro football, a coin flip determines who gets the ball in overtime. If that team scores, they win without the losing team ever getting to touch the ball. Is that fair? Maybe not, but it's the rules and you accept the rules if you decide to play the game in the first place. It should be no different in any other sport.
@bikerOGX yes i see your point. not everything should be based on football. that is a completely different scenario. i cant even get into the specifics ... im just saying they had an equal performance at that given point in time. its not taking anything away from either of the athletes and im not bitching, its just what i feel.

She makes a beautiful dismount look hideous. dasha joura's 2008 pacific rim bars routine shows that dismount wayy better. and beth tweddle should of medaled
Liukin's deductions .1 separated ankles on the kip after the stalder shoot .1 separated ankles after the ono .1 separated ankles on the 3/2 turn on one arm .1 bent knees before her Gienger .1 separated ankles on Pak salto .1 on separated ankles on kip after Pak .3 on handstand on her kip 1/2 .1 on bent knees before dismount .3 cowboy on her dismount total 1.3 Some are kind of debatable so it could be more or less in my estimation.
Kexin's deductions .1 struggled kip after Jaeger .1 handstand after Jaeger .1 struggled kip after laidout Jaeger .1 leg separation on Pak .1 struggled kip after Pak .1/.3 on flat toe shoot .3/.5 on dead hang .1 struggled kip after toe shoot .1 arched back on 3/2 turn one

MsEmm22 9 months ago
@MsEmm22 In this quad, the elements were given a difficulty value and were worth a certain amount of points. The top ten elements in the routine are then added together along with any connection value and points given for filling routine requirements. All of this adds up to what was called the A Score, which in this routine is the 7.70. Then deductions for flaws in execution were taken from a 10.0, which is the B Score, which in this routine is the 9.025. The A and B score were... continued
481095ymg2 9 months ago 2

@msbunnypaws That's the smartest comment you've made so far. Ignoring me is much better than arguing with me, cause you KNOW I'm always right. Nastia's dismount was terrible. xolemonlime2 1 year ago
ChainChomp2 1 year ago
Kexin was better in my opinion.
markelov 1 year ago
I heard somewhere that it's basically impossible for a gymnast to get a perfect score now. Is that true?
desorden150 1 year ago
@desorden150 Yes, nowadays the execution scores are ridiculously low and the judges will take anything they possibly can, and in some cases, even make up fake deductions (watch the gold medal pommel horse performance from the 2009 worlds, even the USA commentators (the smart ones anyway) couldn't find any deductions)
A seemingly perfect routine can be sabotaged by a judge if it has a low degree of difficulty, their scores were quite low even before the 2009 rule change!
ChainChomp2 1 year ago
@ChainChomp2
Wasn't it difficult in some ways during 1968-2000 when Nadia Comaneci gained her seven tens? Because the style and rules did limit the gymnasts. And the tricks known then were considered difficult. Though the ones now are considerably more difficult.
ThePingShowJL 1 year ago
@ChainChomp2 what does the execution panel have to do with the difficulty panel? and what are you talking about, "the judges make up fake deductions?" ALL of these deductions are clear to people who have experience coaching or judging, or even experience as gymnasts. just because tim daggett exaggerates for the sake of TV doesn't mean there is some evil conspiracy to tear down scores. the Code was revised to make E-panels more important because some were going 9.6 with non-stuck landings in 08
mydogwearsacape 1 year ago
@mydogwearsacape It's influence that plagued the competitions circa 2007-2008, compare Jana Komrskova from the 2007 vault finals or Nastia's 2008 AA vault to other more-difficult vaults from that era, Jana was getting 9.2's with two perfect vaults and other sloppy vaults were getting 9.3-9.4. Then come bar routines with upwards of 7.4 difficulty, normally you'd find over 1.3 in deductions in most of them, but they score a lot over 9.0.
ChainChomp2 1 year ago
@ChainChomp2 none of this is true. the deductions are there. i will PM them to you. the reason harder UB routines don't seem to get deducted as much is because you cannot execute UB poorly and still connect difficult elements. this is why he kexin scored so highly at 2009 Worlds despite having a hard routine. if your alignment and swing isn't precise you cannot connect a bunch of D and E elements.
mydogwearsacape 1 year ago
well with her nice lines, nice handstands and a stuck dismount and level of difficulty she deserved her silver medal.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Nastia AND He Kexin were horribly overscored in the execution department...all the problems they had including jerky kips, leg separations, late turns, and dismount problems all warrant a lot more than a point in deduction. The real top 2 would be Yang Yilin and Beth Tweddle who show better form and better releases apart from Nastia's Geinger and Kexin's straight Jaeger (Tweddle form-wise is questionable though, and Yang Yilin had several late turns and short casts)
ChainChomp2 1 year ago
@ChainChomp2 Aha! You thing that Beth had better execution than Nastia and He Kexin? I don't even know what to say to that.
481095ymg2 1 year ago 29
@481095ymg2 Tweddle's kips had flow through them (like Nastia I suppose) but she didn't have as many leg separations as Nastia. Even with the fiasco of the toe-on full before the dismount she deserved here 8.8 B score, Nastia had one or two late turns (her Ono 3/2 comes before a release so it's a 0.1) but her low bar pirouette was a definite 0.5 even though it's hard to see, and then you've got that silly dismount for another 0.3. Kexin had two bad turns, but also a dead hang and bad kips.
ChainChomp2 1 year ago
@ChainChomp2 Even with what was mentioned (although I think most judges would take only .3 on the low bar) Tweddle does not have the same line or handstands (especially on her ono) that both He Kexin and Nastia have. What Tweddle has is power, not execution.
481095ymg2 1 year ago 2
@481095ymg2 I found five leg separations in this routine on her forward giants, her swing to Tkatchev, and her Pak, each being a 0.1, and she also bends her knees when she swings, which is another 0.1 each time, her late turn is really hard to see from this angle, which is why the commentators never said anything about it (no replay either). Silver or bronze for sure, but none of them were really gold-worthy except Yilin.
ChainChomp2 1 year ago 2
@ChainChomp2 Yang Yilin did not have the flow throughout her routine that Nastia and He Kexin did. All of her kips are very struggled and she did not have the best handstands. Yang Yilin was much better in the team finals and deserved her score and the bronze medal she received.
481095ymg2 1 year ago 6
@481095ymg2 Would you agree that this was a horrible Olympic bar final? Her kips were just as bad as Kexin's but she doesn't have leg separations and doesn't get amplitude on her releases, but no dead hang and she stuck the dismount. As far as swinging flow she has lots, as far as kips, well we all know don't we? I say blame this Australian judge for all the weird scores we got and agree to disagree.

her dismount is way too close to the bar. It scares me... But amazing routine
Kerenr88 1 year ago 3
Yes, it's because Nastia just doesn't have enough power to pull off her double front 1/2 dismount. She has to cheat and pull her knees into her body just to get enough rotation to land the thing. The result is that she looks like a "frog taking a dump," but casual observers just look at the landing and think it is perfect.

I think that comes from the fact that she is long-legged. Khorkina had that problem too I think. Very hard to get the somersaults to look as good as a short-legged gymnast. Even on floor, her twisting looks much better than double somersaults.
lostlyrarose 1 year ago
You can say she was over-scored, loses form, and any other negative comment you can throw at her, but the fact was the judges were scoring her higher than He Kexin before the event final (in both preliminaries and team final). I have no idea why the IOC was pressuring the FIG to eliminate tied results, but they should have shared gold if they both received the same EXACT score. Same goes for the men's vault final..Thomas Bouhail should have shared gold with Leszek Blanik.
markedexclusive 2 years ago
Yeah, but the fact was the judges scored her lower than He Kexin during the event final...you know, the one that actually counts. You erroneously stated that they received the "same EXACT score" because you conveniently left out the results of the tie-breaker. Maybe Brett Favre could be going to the Superbowl if people conveniently left out what happened in the tiebreaker against the Saints.
bikerOGX 2 years ago 4
As to why the IOC might want to do away with ties, it probably just a simple question of logistics. Let's pretend we are talking about the team finals. If two teams somehow tie for the gold, are you just going to pull an extra 6 gold medals out of your ass for the medal presentation? So you would need to produce an extra 6 gold medals beforehand. Great. Now what if two teams tie for silver? What about bronze? Now multiply that by every other sport. I think you now see why.
bikerOGX 2 years ago 25
I've known the exact tie-breaking procedure since the 2006-2008 Code of Points was implemented and no, I didn't conveniently leave out the tie-breaker because their final A scores and B scores were exactly the same. The second level tie-breaker that determined the winner ONLY averaged three of the remaining highest marks for their B scores.
Final Score:
Liukin: A 7.7 + B 9.025 = 16.725
He: A 7.7 + B 9.025 = 16.725
2nd level tie-breaker:
Liukin: 9.033
He: 9.066
markedexclusive 2 years ago
So you're saying the exact tie-breaking procedure existed since at least before 2006. Why only complain about it years later when the results don't go your way?
Final Score after overtime period:
Saints: 31 (Winner)
Vikings: 28
Final Score after 2nd level tie-breaker:
He Kexin: 9.066 (Winner)
Liukin: 9.033
Brett Favre doesn't bitch about the rules after the fact. Nastia Liukin doesn't bitch about the rules after the fact. Why do you?

markedexclusive 2 years ago

bikerOGX 2 years ago 12
As per the IOC pressuring the FIG, I understand your (and presumably their) line of reasoning. But your example is way far-fetched: There has NEVER been a team tie in ANY gymnastics competition. Not even NCAA or those lesser known international comps.
Ties in INDIVIDUAL event finals are much more reasonable. They didn't have a problem doing it before the ban in 2000.
markedexclusive 2 years ago
Then you prove my point. It is highly unlikely, yet it COULD HAPPEN. So why should the IOC waste it's resources on preparing for such an unlikely event? Why not just simply put in a tie-breaker. Gold doesn't grow on trees you know.

i believe that a tie is a tie. they are both in first place as far as i'm concerned
benrobinson77 2 years ago
It was only a tie until the tie-breaker was applied, then it wasn't a tie anymore. It's like in football when a game ends tied in regulation, but overtime is used to determine the winner. In this case, He Kexin won. Accept it. Why is that so hard to understand?
bikerOGX 2 years ago
@bikerOGX yes i can i accept it, im just saying i personally don't agree with tie-breakers in this sport, especially for event finals. If you are competing for one event then only that event should matter ... in my opinion. In 1996 Amy Chow and Be Weijing tied for second in bars which was fine in my book. There were only tie breakers applied at this Olympics (that i know of). No mater what rules apply, they both tied in their bars score which is all that matters to me.
benrobinson77 2 years ago
My point is that it doesn't do any good to bitch about the tie break rules after the fact. In pro football, a coin flip determines who gets the ball in overtime. If that team scores, they win without the losing team ever getting to touch the ball. Is that fair? Maybe not, but it's the rules and you accept the rules if you decide to play the game in the first place. It should be no different in any other sport.
bikerOGX 2 years ago 2
@bikerOGX yes i see your point. not everything should be based on football. that is a completely different scenario. i cant even get into the specifics ... im just saying they had an equal performance at that given point in time. its not taking anything away from either of the athletes and im not bitching, its just what i feel.
