Just noobed it down... in I guess 45 mins or so... awesome boss, with the other bosses I felt they were a bit low on health (10k ones) this one err.. not bad at all for a final boss, that overpowered sneeze tho hah, as for the tac.. combo with powerus rebuff/dispell when he reverses.. don't buff defense it's gonna bite you in the ass after a reverse, absorb magic/attack are a life saver.. was lvl 70 with all immortals and.. a dead 24/7 lvl 50 sed.. dnno why I kept resurrecting him..
This fight took me like 5 attempts and the winning one I did was last night. I just started off with Kaim and Seth using complete defense and every immortal was equipped with the absorb attack/magic skill and ailment resistance. A lot of it was luck though because more times than I thought they absorbed the attacks and spells so I was able to keep my back row alive. Then i used Kaim and Seth to use divide a lot and that brought him down a lot. My mortal was Cooke and she used casting support.
@deathscyte9 i hardly ever used spells in FFX, XIII definately has alot of spell casting in it as you pretty much have to have a ravager to raise the stagger bar just seems like you're not using any as you'll just be autoattacking :')

Have ur immortals double cast divide if they have alot of hp or reversa if they take alot of damage. Also, have about 50 angel plumes and you'll be good to go.

this sucks. just use a ring that has areil killer level 3 and wind level 3 then use power drinks on kaim and seth then 3 combo. will do 9999 damage x3 which is 29997 x 2 because there are two people doing it. thats 59994 damage the fight will be done in about 4-5 turns. Kaim and Seth should be at level 99 for this to work and have the best weapons.
u did ok!!!! i would've taken a different approach! Powerus on Kaim and seth! replace sid with max for the 3 combo as well! protect myself! all barricadus and all shieldus! and use leveler on his bitch ass!!!!! what are their lvls anyway??????
@Bloodedism leveler wont work hes immune to black magic spells, buffs would be a bad idea because he uses quivering sound waves to reverse the effect of spells like powerus barricadus, etc. thus lowering ur stats in the process

Heh, I restarted this game for the heck of it and I'm currently grinding at Numara Atoll on Disc 2. Everybody is level 48/49 right now. But I saw this video and thought of an interesting an idea. Would it be possible to defeat the Immortal One using only mortal characters (Jansen, Sed, Mack, Cooke, Tolten)? It'd be interesting to see IMO.

@aOdandyOeye no, it's not a DLC boss. he's not the "ultimate boss either" he's the ultimate if you don't have the DLC, but otherwise Professor K is. That guy will pwn you if you're not prepared.
I used jansen to have 3 spell casters and had ming buff up seth and sarah buff up kaim then unload on that ass with 4 attackers it goes much faster even though i didnt use reversa thats a good idea i used something else
i got 1 question i played Blue Dragon after it first came out and it had Kelolon in the game then when Lost Odyssey Came out they had the same monster. So im wondering did the same people the games?

This boss can be a pain in the ass but use Kaim, Seth and Sed to use that instant healing stuff with double item maybe getting Kaim or Seth to smash it if you can spare it whilst Dividing/reversa and this thing seems just long ^^
Ahh, I'm on Disc 2 at the minute and I know I should be leveling up my Immortals but i'm not, i've stuck to the Mortals so I can get the acheivment for learning all of Keim's skills. When i'm finished the game will I have time to level up all the Immortals so I can fight these bosses, or is it wise to start leveling them now on Disc 2 ? D}:
@peetahp3 It doesn't really amtter this game level caps you at zones anyway from what I've heard and at the end you'll have a place to level quite quickly. in fact mortals get the skill master achievments in their 50s then just get all of their abilities to your mortals, so seeiong as there's no cap on learning abilities it might be better to work on teach abilities to your Immortals if you want to get all of the skill master achievments.

I had Kaim double cast Divide/Reversa, it worked really well as I could do 20k damage each turn with him. Did even more using all my other characters as well. I beat this guy, was really cheering afterwords. Had so much fun beating him, that I came back and beat him again 4 or 5 more times.
Now that's how a boss should be. Actually difficult. especially the final boss. Sick of fighting the last boss in a game and watching it buff up for 50 turns, only to land a 3 damage hit when it finally attacks. 'Course, they really should have made it less hideous...
That was the party I used! And I got lucky at the end cause the boss healed my last two party members. I was shocked I beat the boss in one try. This game was badass! I miss playing it.
It is a VERY good game. My favorite, actually. I beat the main story at 68hours. I read all of the dreams(short stories, very touching) Lots of unlockables, hidden treasures, side quests, and places to explore. If you've ran out of xbl for a while this, along with Dragon Age: Origins, would be the way to beat the single player boredom.

This boss was very easy to beat. I forgot to equip 3 combo to Kaim and Seth, but i still managed to beat it. I had only Kaim hitting and he was hitting around 16k damage.
This boss was hell for me, but i managed to finish it ! ^^ I played with Kaim, Seth, Jansen, Ming and someone else i don't remember right now xD ! and i heard something before that it's easier if you use Sarah instead of Jansen but i didn't like Sarah so i used Jansen instead...

This game was good but, i was mad that they didn't make there own story they hired a writer to do it for them talk about low creativeity and this game when i played it it seemed like the game new what you where gonna do and would just kill the right person time and time again

I don't think the developers on their own could have made up a story, which personally, I think is really deep and engrossing. Think about what the game would have been without the outside narrative-wise health.

This looks really boring to me anyway. I honestly don't understand how doing that for ten minutes can be considered epic. Sure the visuals are fancy but they're the EXACT SAME fancy visuals every time you do a certain attack. Can someone please explain it to me?
It's about strategy. I mean your seeing a boss, and the biggest healthed boss in the entire game. So ofcourse your going to get bored watching it. The game however is much more fun when your playing it. It's aaall about strategy, which attacks are best against certain enemies, using the correct skills to survive, etc. etc. It's not for some people ofcourse. If you dont like it thats fair enough, just dont judge it on one video :)
umm ring cant remember its been ages biut iwas level 99 with all skills learned blah blah blah, alls i did was heal with seth and combo with kaim and when his health was low enough lay two ultimate hits on him (i think they r called ultimate hit anyway its the one tolten gets)
I used the Atmosphire ring and power drink Kaim for the first turns. Damage was 20,000. Then I use divide with Kaim and Seth. Damage was 9999. I hate it when he use 3x shadowus and cube.
No unrated u need to win 3 stars in every backyard battle to get this boss unlocked to kill, although be prepared this is way more difficult than gongora

You can't play FFX without spells, unless you're hellbent on not using any, and even then I don't think it's possible.

I read all of the dreams(short stories, very touching) Lots of unlockables, hidden treasures, side quests, and places to explore. If you've ran out of xbl for a while this, along with Dragon Age: Origins, would be the way to beat the single player boredom.

This boss was very easy to beat. I forgot to equip 3 combo to Kaim and Seth, but i still managed to beat it. I had only Kaim hitting and he was hitting around 16k damage.

This boss was hell for me, but i managed to finish it ! ^^ I played with Kaim, Seth, Jansen, Ming and someone else i don't remember right now xD ! and i heard something before that it's easier if you use Sarah instead of Jansen but i didn't like Sarah so i used Jansen instead...

Wow. You got super lucky with all the All-Curse encounters. Bravo. The last time I fought this guy he countered at least three times with Divide, and the rest with Shadowus.

The accessory that makes you immune is called Angel Guard. Unfortunately it doesn't protect you from Kelolon.

this boss is easy on lvl 70, game is easy after getting sed, and even easier if you kill silver kelelons early on using gamble, hard if not

Why didn't you use leveler? It does tons more damage than Divide.

yeah saw that after i commented, but my levelers have done 12k+ damage while divide only did like 8k+ for me.

all i did was keep using reversa for everyone and i didnt bother healing or anything and the would always be low health which made alot more damage
and if they died they would just come back in a while and i never lost
really simple
and i was only level 79 instead of 99

This game was good but, i was mad that they didn't make there own story they hired a writer to do it for them talk about low creativeity and this game when i played it it seemed like the game new what you where gonna do and would just kill the right person time and time again

That doesn't make any sence, you're dissapointed because the developers of the game hired a professional writer to work with them on the story?
I don't think the developers on their own could have made up a story, which personally, I think is really deep and engrossing. Think about what the game would have been without the outside narrative-wise health.
I mean, Lost Odyessy is pretty generic RPG Gameplay-Wise. Its ths story that makes it come alive. I'm glad they hired writers :P

This looks really boring to me anyway. I honestly don't understand how doing that for ten minutes can be considered epic. Sure the visuals are fancy but they're the EXACT SAME fancy visuals every time you do a certain attack. Can someone please explain it to me?

It's about strategy. I mean your seeing a boss, and the biggest healthed boss in the entire game. So ofcourse your going to get bored watching it. The game however is much more fun when your playing it. It's aaall about strategy, which attacks are best against certain enemies, using the correct skills to survive, etc. etc. It's not for some people ofcourse. If you dont like it thats fair enough, just dont judge it on one video :)

umm ring cant remember its been ages biut iwas level 99 with all skills learned blah blah blah, alls i did was heal with seth and combo with kaim and when his health was low enough lay two ultimate hits on him (i think they r called ultimate hit anyway its the one tolten gets)

I used the Atmosphire ring and power drink Kaim for the first turns. Damage was 20,000. Then I use divide with Kaim and Seth. Damage was 9999. I hate it when he use 3x shadowus and cube.
