Yes that is definately Mike Porcaro...my school buddy...and Fegie couldn't control his drinking...what a bunch of sweet goofy guys in this video...awesome depiction of their true peronalities. Love it thanks for the video!

I would like to read more about why they let Ferige go...I read that he "didn't perform well in the studio". I think Fergie has the typical AOR rock voice of the 80s (like Survivor and Journey)...Kimball's voice is a bit more one-of-a-kind in my opinion. BUT my absolute favorite is Joseph Williams! Just bought the Seventh One album and it ROCKS!

According to Steve Lukather, Fergie had major problems in the studio. At one point, they had to punch in the song - word by word! And on tour, he was very much "up and down". One night, he would do a killer show and the next night, he was terrible and this would continue for the entire tour.

The biggest reason that fergie dropped out was that he had some kind of muscle sickness, Parkinson or something like that. But I have also read that he didn't perform well in the studio..Strange cause I think he's sounding real good live!!

@kanemura93 Fergie had big problems with his voice. Luke said (don't know where I found it) that Fergie's voice was good just few times! And Isolation is Toto's hardest album to record it, because that problem of Fergie's voice!

Why oh why did'nt they do one more album with Fergie! I'm so sure they would have made it bigger with him, His voice has more of a rock sound to it, plus he had more of a stage presence then poor Bobby did( and I'm a huge Kimball fan!)

Ferg used to do backflips and other cool stuff on stage.

Hey Woschtfett1968, I did not know that about Ferg, I thought Bobby & Joe had the hots for the " WhiteSister " stuff! I remember Luke saying Bobby got that bad he was like a kid in a candy store, It's amazing Bobby's voice was still in top form, Not like Joe's!

Agreed. Fergie was the only front man Toto ever had that looked and sounded like a rock and roll front man. Lukather tries but just doesn't presence or the tenor range. Saw Toto live with Fergie back in 1985, great show.

Awesome clip. "Isolation" has always been my fav album by Toto & for years i've been drooling at the thought of hearing or better yet, seeing video from this tour. Now I wanna see this concert even more after the little bit that I just saw here. Sadly, this is probably all that exists. But if anyone out there has this concert or even part of it, PLEASE in the name of all that is holy, Post it! You'd be making ALOT of old diehard Toto fans (like myself) very happy.

I love this video, they are all so happy, even Fergie looks like he´s enjoying himself. It is a total mystery to me ho hear the they had such huge problems with Fergie but the end result is just staggering, best toto album ever? So hard, so beautifully arranged and such a delicate voice of Fergie, even though he lacks some of the passion of Bobby and Joseph

@poomsol94 Late response, but I think this concert is on tape somewhere. However, it has not been given out anywhere yet. I know some traders who have all DVDs available at the moment. This soundcheck and the first minute of the concert is the only stuff from the Isolation tour at the moment. I still hope a full concert was filmed.
