  • clearly if the nissan had kept the car locked up and not continued to roll backwards the infinity would have cleared him. the guy driving the infinity probably judged it on the premise the nissan would stay stopped after its spin and not roll backwards. shit happens type of deal. swing and a miss.

  • @rioross If that's the case, let me tell you something. The bumper is aftermarket, and so is the rest of the body kit, if you couldn't tell from a stock 240sx to a modified one. And like you said, the reason why drift cars always seem to lose bumpers is because they pop off so that it's still salvageable, like you saw at the end of the video the crew putting the bumper back on.

  • You guys are ridiculous. The momentum being thrown back from Vlad's S13 could not have been stopped by his brakes. Why? If you notice it's wet. This is part of the DMCC series (Drift Mania Canadian Championship), and media is a HUGE thing for us. We've to little exposure, so the better the "shot" the better exposure. No video would look good 50ft away from the action...Hence the G35's proximity to all our drivers.

    The 2 drivers are Vlad Crown(S13 Hatch) and Justin Forsyth(S13 Coupe)

  • Amateur move by the G35 looks like it cost him a dent and a nice scrape along the body.

    Also, to the guy's locking up their brakes and blaming it on the pads need to learn to threshold brake. If you're locking up your brakes you're probably stomping them. Try easing your braking pressure over 1 second instead of a quick jab onto the brakes.

    Might also be your brake balance. If your front brakes are doing too much of the work they'll lock up all day when threshold braking; its not the pads

  • G25 fault regardless, its there as a cam car not competiting. if the 240 driver wasn't quick enough. g25 shouldve given room for error like the roll back rather then trying to over take a car that's competiting =_=;

  • maybe the G35 was close, because video producers don't want lame far away shots, its drifting, not the cheapest motorsport to begin with, plus its not really a 240 if it has all its body panels

  • the g35 is a camera car, not another competitor, alot more room should have been given. Take into consideration, that ebrakes that dont use a drum set up are very hard to lock up, even if driver of the s13 ripped the ebrake very low chance that rear tires would lock up.

  • actually.. they can be easy to lock up. depending on the kind of brake pads that are being used. i ran wagner pads for my s13 and they locked up fairly easily. i also have a friend with a s13 that locks up easy as hell. almost like a hydro ebrake, but he doesnt have one

  • I run brembo blanks and hawk hp+ and they do not lock up well enough imo. I'd go with the z32 set up.

    like i said, stock brake calipers with autozone wagner pads were easy for me.

  • The 240 rolled back because of the momentum from the spin, he could've stopped that from happening by holding up the e-brake, but normal brakes would still roll him backward. His intent was to stop but he wasn't quick enough with his thinking, that's all there is to it.

  • Maybe if the G didn't swerve back into him the G would've ended up in the grass. It's really hard to tell from that sort of angle.

  • G35 should have given him more room. He gave him about the amount of distance you give people on the public roads. At no point does the 240SX go to a complete stand still, so the G35 shouldn't have swerved in to him.
