I just got an MPC500 on eBay i also purchased the numark PT01. Just a quick question, do i need a mixer to record straight from the turn table to the MPC? or does it sound fine if i don't have a mixer? thanks! Great Beat btw!!

how did u chop the sample??

can chop the samples by hitting mode then trim, then usin the dial scroll and change the start and end points. thats how i do it

for some reason on my mpc 500 i have to hit the pads really hard for it to be loud enough.. usually with two fingers.. how is it so easy for you? can you change the velocity or something?

im just curious when you chopped the sample for this beat did you do it manually or does the mpc 500 have like an auto chop feature? is the mpc 500 pretty easy to use, cause you made that beat look really easy. i dont have an mpc yet but im thinking bout getting one just cause its something i can take anywhere i go for when you get those out of no where creative urges.

it has a trim screen, you see numerals, you increase or decrease the numerals to edit samples, it works like old school gear, reminds me of my old eps 16++

yeah just like my 3k well use to be lol its raw i can honestly tell you some of my most raw beats and chops came from it but then i got 2k then the 1k its all good gear is gear its the ear that matters
