The solo in Punch Me I Bleed is my favorite on Are You Dead Yet.. I think it's really beautiful, because it's not just constant shred, and it also has a tune to it...so it's catchy, soulful, and technical at the same time. I'm not a fan of Bodom's newer material, but I love this solo.

I think it's also about his guitars. take a look at the vids with his jacksons, he played way better in those times. those ESPs look very cool but they can't replace a Jackson to me, and I think it's the same with Alexi.

In recent years I'd go for Amott, he's a greater technical player too well in my opinion, but yeah they're two different styles so its hard to compare, plus they're in different tunings too!
One of there best solos is in the song "the nail" but most people don't no twhat song that is or were its from because there COB posers and like the are you det yet as thier fav album
my favourite album is Are You Dead Yet. I know what "The Nail" is because I own all 6 albums. It's called taste, I preffer AYDY because it's when Roope came in and in my opinion has better rhythm parts. Also AYDY was the first COB song I heard and I preffer the current vocals. All Bodom is badass but I preffer the solo's in AYDY. Alexi said he used to show off heaps in earlier albums but now does more melodic pieces. Kissing The Shadows and Red Light In My Eyes and all are still insane though

Yeah, Something Wild was rushed. I think they only got like a week to do it and they made new songs up for it aswell. The technology and budget sucked back then. I think blooddrunk is amazing, althrough i feel that alexi's playing doesnt sound how alexi sounds....i know it sounds weird but in my head alexi's sound is hatebreeder and sinergy...Roopes a big influence, also janne's keyboard doesnt sound how it should, "Are You DeadYyet" and "Blooddrunk" are amazing but id never guess COB would go so thrashy id like to see a fusion of there neo classical orgins and the thrash, like alexi with that classic alexi sound and roope playing parts with heavy dist.
hes going for a new style, remember, its always good to try new things, i agree that his earlier work (Something Wild to Hate Crew Deathroll) was better but AYDY and Blooddrunk are good in a unique way, :)

my favourite album is Are You Dead Yet. I know what "The Nail" is because I own all 6 albums. It's called taste, I preffer AYDY because it's when Roope came in and in my opinion has better rhythm parts. Also AYDY was the first COB song I heard and I preffer the current vocals. All Bodom is badass but I preffer the solo's in AYDY. Alexi said he used to show off heaps in earlier albums but now does more melodic pieces. Kissing The Shadows and Red Light In My Eyes and all are still insane though

Dude i know. AYDY is my second fav album. my First is Folow the reaper. there was just a stupid comment of some COB poser saying AYDY was like there only album. i actually prefer Bodoms newer stuff there old stuff just has better guitar. I actually dont really care for melodic death metal and to tell you the truth i kinda dislike Something wilde its just a sketchy album. . i was just tryna proove a point xD

Yeah, Something Wild was rushed. I think they only got like a week to do it and they made new songs up for it aswell. The technology and budget sucked back then. You can hear the difference and all with the new Albums. What do you think about Blooddrunk? How badass is the new COB album gonna be when it comes out (whenever that is, hopefully soon)

I think blooddrunk is amazing, althrough i feel that alexi's playing doesnt sound how alexi sounds....i know it sounds weird but in my head alexi's sound is hatebreeder and sinergy...Roopes a big influence, also janne's keyboard doesnt sound how it should, "Are You DeadYyet" and "Blooddrunk" are amazing but id never guess COB would go so thrashy id like to see a fusion of there neo classical orgins and the thrash, like alexi with that classic alexi sound and roope playing parts with heavy dist.

hes going for a new style, remember, its always good to try new things, i agree that his earlier work (Something Wild to Hate Crew Deathroll) was better but AYDY and Blooddrunk are good in a unique way, :)

what? Downfall solo compared to Silent Night Bodom Night? Or even Bed Of Razors? Towards Dead End? Downfall was awesome but not something to demonstrate Alexi's talent. In my opinion anyways
