Well done, well done. But "the people" really isn't the point. We aren't ruled by the people (thankfully). The people elect rulers, who speak/act on their behalf. I am for Ron Paul because he honors the oath he took to uphold the Constitution; he did not take an oath to uphold the will of the people (thankfully).

I think he means that we should use a republic system, not a democratic system. Democracy encourages the tyranny of the majority, and we will end up with discrimination against the minorities.
Ron Paul wishes to protect the fundamental minority of all: the individual.
