This reminds me of a short film I saw 5-7 years ago, animation where this guy would order a small pet with a personality and they would get along great, made from the perspective of the little creature and then when the guy gets bored of him at the end the little thing see's him ordering a new one and he's thrown into a press full of others, ah one day I might come across it again :)
