  • I served with the 196th LIB Americal Div. in 1970-71. And Heinz 57 was what we were. We had 3 rangers in my platoon. I was trained as an Armour crewman. We had all types and MOS in our company.

  • 198th came to Duc Pho, they did their time like everybody else and didn't have the opportunity like I did of coming into a big established Army division level unit. They were just a brigade bunched up with several other brigades in the Heinz 57 Americal Division; by early 68 the 3d 25th had changed to 3d 4th & linked up with the 198. I was there when they the 198th took some hard licks. They carried on the mission, so my respect is out there with the you guys of the 198th.

  • I trained with these guys at Ft. Hood, we did all the same village recon, and jungle stuff, they went to Nam we went to Chicago for the riots.

  • Ho chi Minh, Vietnam's communist founder, is a disguting TRAITOR and MURDERER. He was a member of the Third Communist International established in 1919 by Lenin. He gave up Paracel & Spratly archipelagos with large oil resources to Red China. He even ordered to murder his own mistress named Nong thi Xuan when she threatened to disclose her sexual relationship with him since that would destroy his image as a "Father" of Vietnam who "sacrifices" his whole life for Vietnam revolution.

  • War is not really good for those that participate in it... Ever.

as for the problems that arise from participating, you deal with it... or not. everyone is different.

    a participant.

  • my father was in the 198th he did 3 tours 67 to 70. when he has his flashbacks and starts to yell or crawl and hes yellin for a medic or another magazine some people would laugh but they understand what he went through and what he did for them. makes me really pissed off my father is a hero and people treated him like shit when he came back to the states

  • the same is with a man who lives in my street but it his flashbacks are from the Falklands (I'm British) the war inst on such a scale as Vietnam but apparently this guy was a paratrooper i don't know much about him but the police had to restrain him one night when he started screaming ''BAYONET THE CUNTS'' on the top of his voice and giving out war cry's

  • mhm this video doesent show any combat, but my father did tons and tons of combat also they were part of the mai lay massacre so hes had a hard time..and yeah its terrible what happens to some of the vets,my great grandfather was in ww1 and was a pow he got gassed and beaten and interrigated by the germans and he had alot of problems from that..its toobad then people treat them like their crazy and they have no clue what they went through

  • @tatethompson1234 coming from someone who has 2 grandfathers in POW camps... if you get gassed by the Nazi's, your not coming out alive so stop bullshitting. also POW camps werent for people to get gassed, prisoners in there werent gassed, just worked to death. your thinking of concentration camps bud.

  • @223o Do you know how to read? I said my great grandfather in WWI. Yes the germans used gas canisters in ww1 in the field. He served at Vesle Sector,Toulon Sector,St Mihiell Offensive and was captured Oct 1st during Meuse Argonne Offensive, I have all his papers, medals, uniform, letters so before you call someone a liar you should learn how to read. 2nd of all their were no nazi's in ww1,and yes i know what the holocaust is,my grandmother came from Poland in 1940 here to the states.

  • @tatethompson1234 i said there were nazi's in WW1 when?

  • @223o I was talking about ww1,and you said no one could survive from the gas the germans used ect in ww2. You read my comments wrong,so i corrected you.
