This is so funny I've been sending it to all my friends. And there I was standing there arguing w/ them about the crap happening in Tibet, Burma, Darfur, and Vietnam cuz of the Chinese government. I could have just met this guy and it would have made my day knowing that I was able to make a difference in someone's life by helping with his English like you did. The same government that massacred 4000 peaceful protesters in Tiananmen square in 1989 and has blocked the topic from the Chinese media and internet access ever since, so as to hide the truth from the Chinese people. As I am in CHINA now, and I am a Chinese citizen, I will tell you responsiblly that on this issue the Chinese PRC Government is telling the truth,for one of my friends was in Tibet and he told me the details of the riot. You western media focuses only on the nagetive part of our country and our government. For the event of 1989, it is of great importance to calm all the students down,cuz they are CONTROLLED by some western anti-China organization! Please look in our history exactly.

It doesnt seem suspicious to you when an authoritarian government that controls its nations media kicks out all foreign media just before it takes action to suppress a protest? Do you really not know why this is done? Its done to eliminate coverage of violence against civilians by the government. As for the Tiananmen Square Massacre, when the PRC also kicked out all foreign media, are you really suggesting it was "of great importance" to murder 4000 unarmed students in order to "calm them down"?

So the thousands of students massacred by the Chinese government in 1989 were a necessary sacrifice in order to keep China from being controlled by western countries??? Wow! What about Native American in U.S.? What made them minority? Genocide. Do you know that Native Hawaiians would like to have their land back as well? China has ruled Tibet through out Dynasties for more than U.S. been around. I believe there's a bigger imagine behind all this. Different nations are like different families... we love our families but we enforce different rules. How can China ever become this powerful nation after all?... believe me... I really don't understand all this China-Bashing comments... Most of us Chinese are proud to be part of what you called "Communist Dictatorship". What happened in Tienanmen Square in 1989 was indeed tragic but Western media failed to mention that China has done a great job on people liberation since then. Remember the last dynasty: Qing Dynasty failed in 1912, that's less than 100 years. China has been in battles ever since. In time... China will be one of the most powerful nation in the world.
