  • This is why escape artists are the shit.

  • Erm if he'd reached the danger zone which risked certain death, why didnt the other jumpers pull their cords till after him??

  • scary!! I've never seen this one before, but I have seen ones where a guy is wrapped in chains and stuck in a box and then hay is piled on top and they light it on fire and they have to get out before they burn to death, but this one I have never seen.

  • This guy has balls period. Don't diss him because you wouldn't do the same.

  • Jackass is a programme featuring dumb idiots with zero talent - this guys the complete opposite - or cant you see that?

  • Without a doubt this is number 1 ... nothing could top that.

  • That's pretty cool I mean the most insane I dud us escape handcuffs but THIS is truly INSANE

  • epic

  • @TraceurMeeka Well he is doing it to impress his audience, its his job.

  • the guy said what if his jacket got caught in the cage hilarious

  • Now for the same magic trick without a parachute.

  • Big nut case!

  • "He risks certain death?" LOL

  • hes not a magician hes a crack fiend

  • Pretty cool. But to be honest it would have been funnier to watch him hit the ground.

  • It says in the video that he's an escape artist. doesnt have anything to do with magic, really. =P

  • Imagine if he got out of the mailbag... out of the jailcell.... and his parachute dident open!. Lol.

  • Hi, im robert gallup, and this is jackass!

Todaay wees a gonna do the death dive from mi airoplane!

LETS GOO, FIRE IT UP MR.PILOT! YEEEEEHHHHHAAAA!

  • someone has huge cojones

  • holy shit... wow

  • and you practice it on the ground 1st you stupid bitch. if it goes wrong.... he gets ice cream? No he dies dick head. god stupid or wot.

  • what you mean better cos it aint got jaws in it> noob. Jaws was cool.

  • this Ain't a trick it's fun but not a trick and it is fully not lethal if you are an escape artist. It doesn't fall that fast. It takes time for it to reach top speed and he haven't a top speed when falling with it and when he leaves it he lowers his own drop speed so he will actually stand still in the air 1-10 seconds while the cage drops at the same speed while making it safe for him to do the Trick.

  • Yea, you´re falling pretty fast, we are impressed... Lets go on.

  • How do you risk certain death? Doesn't certain death mean that there is no chance of survival? In that case it is not a risk, it is a fact.

  • @Eikus89 well said! It was stupid to say "risk certain death"... makes no sense!

  • @Eikus89

I agree with you, but perhaps they mean, if he messes it up and hits the ground, he is then sure to die.

  • cool

  • this is pretty bull

  • Jenny Eclair, Madness?

    THIS IS MAGIIIIIIIC!

  • SPARTAAAAAA

  • nope it's weight has with it to do but it reaches it's peak of velocity a lot higher up than himself. And then he could safely jumped out at even 4100 ft. max speed of the cage and him is the same. so he has a higher fallspeed than if he jumped normally he lowered his fall speed to almost zero when he jumped out so he was practically safe.

  • what you just said makes no sense at all. his velocity did not go to zero or even almost zero when he jumped out. his speed or velocity remains the same until he exits the cage, and then he reaches his own terminal velocity based on drag and wieght (or gravitational pull)

  • shouldn't the cage fall faster than him, considering it should be a lot heavier? and it has less wind resistance. I think it's terminal velocity should be higher than his...

    hnmm.

  • Bad physics. It's weight has nothing to do with it, and it probably has a terminal velocity lower than his, because it has flat edges. Flat edges create more drag, and since it's rate of acceleration is the same, it's probably slower than a free falling human. They're keeping the flat edges down to create more drag.

  • i was just about to say that to him/her.

  • that and he had a parachute on.

  • u havent been paying attention in science class if u think something falls to the ground faster because its heavier.

  • No comment there.

But the amount of wind resistence should help in how fast you reach terminal velocity, and terminal velocity should be a different speed for different objects.,.. right? :P

  • Lol have you ever tried to drop a brick and a needle at the same time?

Try it, they both hit the ground at the same time :P

  • only in vaccum

  • That rule only applies in a vacuum, in reality wind resistance slows certain objects down. But, other than that you're right weight has no bearing on the speed of a falling object.

  • c00yt825 you are correct the cage does have a higher terminal velocity it's wieght DOES have to do with it as wieght is an effect of gravity. the passenger has the same terminal velocity until he exits the cage and then will reach his own terminal velocity. (he will slow down)

  • 'how do you not die when you practice that?"

erm, you don't do it falling from a plane

  • And you attach a cargo shoot to the cage and do a few runs jumping out of a plane.

  • gerbils in the desert rofl

  • whered he get the cages

  • i wonder how many cages he wasted.

  • Most modern parachutes have a minimum altitude for safe operation (you have to give it time to fully deploy the canopy and also time to slow you down enough) between 150 and 200m (500-650 feet). Practitioners of base-jumping usually open theirs even lower, with the lowest recorded jump at just 29m (95feet) from the top of the Christ statue in Rio de Janeiro. So having the "danger zone" start at 4,500 feet shows you this escape artist is not as reckless as one might think...

  • Also, judging from the video, he was at least 1000m (3300feet) high when he opened his parachute, so plenty of time there.

Jumping from an airplane inside a sack that's been locked in a cage is a really daft idea though!

  • The name of that statue is Christ the Redeemer or O Cristo Redentor. Just saying.

  • only white people

  • there are more than just white people and muslims in the world. He could be Mexican!

  • whatever race the guy/girl/thing is hes still retarded

  • fuck off and die

  • get cancer and suffer for the rest of your life. fucking sociopathic white degenerate.

  • and rofl @ how many times i used the word "escape" ^_^

  • i have to agree it's not magic of course, i think even robert gallup wouldn't argue with that. but a brillinat escape man for sure. put yourself in that position.. imagine the cool head you would have to keep whilst pulling of this gnarly escape.

most escapes are easy if done right yes, but the chance of fuck up and bloody plenty of it in this escape is what the audience loves.

  • OH JUST DONT DO THT AGAIN XDXDXDXD her face expressions are soo funny

  • its not magic...its gambling on life

  • oh shut up.

  • not saying what he's done wasnt a great thing... just dun really consider this as magic... its brave

  • yea i guess thats a good point....

  • fake? they said if he doesn't pull his parachute before the timer reaches zero he'll die even if he pulls it. so y didn't the rest of the divers pull their parachutes? u see tht when the magican pulls his the other divers r still flying

  • Exactly what I was thinking. The camera man pulls his chute last, meaning he waited even longer than the guys on camera.

  • they obviously weren't in the danger zone of 4500 ft because then his helpers would have pulled their parachutes

  • Gallup's insane! Very cool! Want to see more clips!

  • I love commentator when she says right at the end... "thats just daft!" haha

  • the commentator says it herself.. this isnt even a magic trick

  • ROFL"it was a good day. nobody died"

  • WTF?? That's just NUTS!!

  • this is in the guinness world records for lowest death dive

  • i go to a magic club with robert gallup. IM NOT KIDDING!!!

  • You mean Bernards in Melbourne?

  • What if the mad bastard had dropped the chute???

  • how can you drop something while falling? lol

  • loads of things went wrong in this

  • madness? thi is SPARTA!

  • it would be funny if the cage hit a car and his owner just made the last payment

  • That would probaly happen in the simpsons.

  • really? u think so i think that would be family guy

  • 1:15 - "he risks cirtain death" (if its cirtain its not a risk)

  • 1.15 did they remake the video or did you misread cirtain with certain LOL cos i see certain

  • its a remake

    your watching teh wrong one

  • He risks to slam into the ground wich would kill him.

    It's correct.

  • im prety cirtain that if it was dangerous to go skydiving when your 300 lbs they wouldn't have let him

  • And he was *this close* to winning the Darwin award.

  • I'm not impressed. instead of risking his life to impress some one, levitating from the ground like David Blaine do impress me more.

  • Wow, LovelyYTRocks, you really opened my eyes...

  • Gimme a break. You can levitate too!

  • this is not magic or illusion ok. its about risking his life just to impress someone. its more like jaccass

  • @saleall its JACKASS you jackass

  • @saleall i always thought houdini was a jack ass

  • @saleall So Houdini wasn't a magician?

  • @Bulldog22031 no Houdini was an escape artist

  • @MyVlogger he was also considered a magician - being a magician doesnt JUST mean the person makes shit appear out of nowhere and can guess your card.

  • Look. Watch. Look.
