Several purposes. Mood. Ambience. A series of random moments.....and so people who know Karori, but live far away now can see it and remember other times. People who have never been to Wellington or Karori get a small taste. Curiosity.
Next time I'm there, I'll nail it for you. :-) Don't know why but I tend to remember stuff like that...so you may well see it. Won't be until late in the year, though.
Was a brilliant place to live big old house near town but far away enough that you werent getting constant visitors. Happy times, ill be back from glasgow in October, will be stopping by to see that place again.
Absolutely agree. My own opinion is that you haven't really learned to drive until you've driven in Wellington and over some of the passes (Arthur's Pass and Otira Gorge) and maybe the Takaka Hill. :-)

I enjoy a good day cruise over Paekak hill, nice and narrow, also trying not to clip car's getting to vic uni :D

Being on the left side of the road is unnerving. Is this the normal amount of traffic? Go Honda! I have a '98 Civic with under 45,000 original miles.
