what settings do you set your smudge tool to? because to get the effect that you are doing i have to go to the liquify effects because the smudge tool im using doesnt give the same effect
I say use the Liquify tool whenever you can. the only advantage that the Smudge has over the Liquify is that you can see EVERYTHING in relation to what you're modifying. WHAT you're doing will also determine the pressure you want to use on your Smudges. For shaping, try somewhere in the 80% to 90%, but never all the way to 100%.
probably at least that and then some! Elements is laid out a little differently than regular Photoshop. But these are very basic techniques that can be done in Regular Photoshop OR Elements.
I have all the faith in the world that you shall indeed master Photoshop enough to do some awesome things. It's just a matter of spending time getting to know where all your favorite toys are and what they do.
I've watched your three Photoshop tutorials (do you use a mouse or tablet? I'm guessing mouse) and I have to say, your voice-overs and general vocabulary makes the whole series for me. Especially in this one.
Not just a mouse, my friend, but a ROLLER BALL mouse! I haven't put an optical mouse on this machine yet. I wanna get me one of those Wacom tablets some day, but in the meantime, I've been so used to using the mouse for so many years I don't even think about how absurd it is that I use a mouse! LOL
Good stuff. I started out in advertising as a stoyboard illustrator, and before that, a caricature artist in H.S. and college. Your vid is great and helps explain the geometric breakdown of basic anatomy. I also agree with previous posts that your V.O. is a very nice touch. Keep it up!
You can do EVERYTHING I do here in Photoshop 5. In fact, I find Photoshop 5 MUCH easier to use. They changed a couple of things and switched a couple of things around when version 6 came out.
Yep! That's the Wendy (origiannly Walter)Carlos Moog Synthesizer renditions of Beethoven's Ninth. Peter ("LtAdams2247" on LiveVideo) is fond of using Beethoven's 9th in some of his vids, so I used the version I had in my library for the underscore. And no, I hadn't heard of "Guru", but I'll definitely look into it! Thanks for hippin' me to that! --Baron
I have never heard of this fellow, but will check him out on LV. Your voice over is a great aspect of your tutorial videos. Did you know that the tube has a new account type called, "GURU," for those who instruct other users in their areas of expertise? Also, do I hear some Clockwork Orange in there?
vivist my channel to see how to do 3D text and how to creat your own text brush in photoshop!
