@213sally That book was one of the best books I have ever read. So emotional. It's so interesting to have a WWII book written from a Germans perspective. It made me cry at the end.
I adore books. I have always! I remember reading when I was a little kid until the sun came up and quickly going to sleep because I would get freaked out that it was morning and I hadnt even slept yet hahaha.
Slice of Cherry by Dia Reeves. It's about 2 sisters, but their father is a mass murderer! It's very interesting because their father gets sent to death row, then Kit and Fancy (sisters) start to find a desire to kill. Whenever Fancy and Kit kill someone they take them into the "Happy Place".It's a world that Fancy Created when her father was aressted. Kit and fancy take people down into their cellar and keep them there for MONTHS stabbing and cutting them! This is my FAVORITE book! Recomended!
If you like Nicholas Sparks, which I haven't personally read any, Angela Morrison's Sing Me to Sleep is fantastic! It is a YA novel but very powerful. It was inspired by an actual boy and his life with cystic fibrosis. I cried and cried, it is my favorite book ever! Let me know if you guys ever read it or check out my channel which is dedicated to books.
you should read 'the book theif', im not really sure how to describe it but it really gripped me and it just such an interesting storyline and everyone i know who has reaad it said they really enjoyed it too xx
im picking up th hunger games trilogy tomorrow and I'm xo excited to red it and i heard divergent is similar to the hunger games so u might wanna check that out
Have you read the harry potter siries ?? I mean i'm a very girly girl and everything but i still realy love thoes books, you have to start with the first book and work your way up becouse if you skip to the last couple of books you wont no wats happening!
i would always see gliterature videos from you but i never watched them cuz i wasn't into books back then, all i've read back then was the twilight series and teh princess diaries series which were my fav books ever. now after reading the summer i turned pretty series im soo into books. I used to read sooo much, but stopped because my life got busy. But now that it's slowed, I've been wanting to read more!! Thanks soo much for inspiring me to read again!!!
my favorites book --> The summer i turned pretty (Jeny Han ) series ( summer book ); Elsewhere ( Gabrielle Zevin ) small but super cute book ( loooove it so much !) and of course the hunger games ( YAYYY they're making a movie out of it )

Can you make a separate channel for your glitterature vlogs? I absolutely ADORE them and I always go back to them because they are my absolute favorites. Thanks!! <3
I love the hunger games!!! I read all of them!!! March 23rd the movie comes out!!!! I love the hunger games so much!!!!!! Team Gale or Peeta? I'm Peeta, I love the hunger games!!!!!
@ilovedancing110 I agree ... just please don't start this team peeta and team gale thingy cause then it'll end up being like twilight :/ no offence :)
I was just looking through some of your older videos, thought I would let you know that the next house of night book came out today! Just wanted to give you a heads up if you didn't know that already!
Classic books are usually the best ones. "Pride and Prejudice" and "Mansfield Park" by Jane Austen are wonderful, "Far from the madding crowd" by Thomas Hardy is wonderful, "Lady Chatterley's lover" by D.H. Lawrence is wonderful, "For whom the bell tolls" by E. Hemingway is wonderful and - even though this is not a classic - "A widow for one year" by John Irving is a great, great novel (like most of John Irving's novels, actually).
I LOVE these book videos you do! I love reading but I always have a hard time finding good books. You're glitterature videos have been AWESOME, I've LOVED every book you've talked about! Keep them coming!
Okay , I know this is sort of a kids book , but you have to read kingdom keepers ! It takes place in Disney and I know you were there recently , ad they're great! If you have questions about what the book is about , feel free to inbox me !
I would definitelly recommend The Broken Wings series by Virginia Cleo Andrews, those books are really great. There is violence, but it also makes you think about yourself and other things.
You should try Cecelia Ahern's book. She wrote P.S. I Love You that the movie is based on, but I've read some of her other book and they're all really good.
I love getting lost in a good book. You mentioned The Hunger Games, and wow! I read the first book in one sitting. So addictive. The most recent book I read was The Templars: The History and The Myth, which probably won't interest anyone here, but to me it was very fascinating. I totally agree about books being better than movies 99% of the time, with the notable exeption of Fight Club and Lord of The Rings (which I'm slowly labouring through).
I think u should try the secrets of the immortal Nicholas flamel series. I love that series! The first one is the alchemyst. I also suggest Barrie summys I so don't do mysteries. It's more for teenagers but I LOVE that book!
i think u would really like lisi harrisons books! theyre more for middle school kids, but the Alphas series is sooo good!!! and the ending of the last one is so great! its def not what u wud expect! also The Clique series is amazing! its great if u want an easy read but with great plots and charachters!
If you haven't read them already, you should read "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" series!!! Sooooooo good!!! There are three books in all. I have to warn you though. There can be some intense sexual scenes and there is some VERY bad language. But this book series just grabbed me....I completed each book in about three days a peice:) The only book I read that fast was any of the Twilight books:)
heyy, just thought of a series of books you mgith enjoy, they're books i really love! they're by Marlorie Blackman, and the first one is called 'Noughts and Crosses', its a really gripping storyline and there is 5 in the series, i think you would really love them :) xx
@Jewfacee5 omg, i SOOOO agree. I actually got them because Emma Watson recommended them and they sounded amazing. I paid like over $200 for the whole series to be shipped to me. But, it was so worth it! I swear, they are probably the best books out there. Let's just say, I cried and cried and cried but would do it 5 times over again just to read that incredible story. Great recommendation!
@juliat24 awhh thanks :D i know they really are amazing books, we had to read the first one in school in year 10 and me and one of my friends fell in love with it and went and got the rest :) and before that i hadn't found a book i REALLY liked in ages then i read noughtts and crosses <3
@SaikolaM I read Wuthering Heights when I was 16 and it was my favorite book. I think it definitely CAN be teen-friendly, but if a teen doesn't like the classics I don't know quite why they would read it.
If you haven't already, you should deffinetaly read the pretty little liars series by Sara Shepard, it is AMAZING and I honestly read through 2 of their books in one day
I think you should read a book called "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Chistie. It's not for children lol, bc it's violent. Kinda like the Hunger Games. It's a classic & I had to read this a while back for school but oh my gosh let me tell you, for a "school book", it was reeeeeally good. Like it gets addicting. You should try it (:
Wuthering heights is definitly not teen friendly. it's so complicated! And your version (I have the same at home) looks like twilight, because It's edwards and bella favourite book and they wanted it to look like twilight.
I actually just read today on Twitter Safe Haven is being made into a movie and also Nicholas sparks has a new book coming in October called the best of me which they have already bought the rights to that one to be made into a movie too!!!
The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare is amazing! If you liked the Hunger Games you'll probably enjoy it. The first book is City of Bones. =)
I've read most of the books you've mentioned and felt pretty much the same way you did about them.. so I think, if you're looking for a page turner, you should really try reading books by Harlan Coben.. each and every one of his books had left me shocked and craving for more.. he is probably my favourite author, though I have many others I really like..(I'm a bookwarm too)..
Most of those books you named I own, read, and loved! I'm the only one out of my family and friends that actually has an appreciation for books so its nice to see someone else around my age has the same addiction lol. I will for sure check out your blog, the "book club" is a great idea. Oh and you might have already since you made this video a while back but another good book I recently finished that you might like is Something Borrowed, the movie just came out too.
And I thought I was the only one who read in the tub! lol not to mention reading several books at once. :) The Other Boleyn Girl book was so so so much better than the movie imo. Good picks!
I like beauty and books so I'm a beauty bookworm so your not alone oh and what's weird is that I love watching your vids what's funny though is your 21 and I'm 12!
Omg! I saw Safe Haven in Costco a while back but I wasn't sure if it was good or not. I LOVE Sparks! I'm going to get the book now. I have already read The Last Song and The Note Book. :)
I recently got a Nook Color for my graduation so i decided to watch your book haul so i can get my summer reading list together! I started reading Confessions of a Shopaholic and i love it! I want to read Safe Haven next it looks good! :D
i think you should read the book Found from the Missing Series by Margaret Peterson Haddix. I read it about a month ago and loved it! im on the second now and it is pretty good too. :) Another great book is The Wish List by Eoin Colfer, he is author of the Artemis Fowl series... im not sure if you are familiar with it, but he writes really good books
i think you should read the book Found from the Missing Series by Margaret Peterson Haddix. I read it about a month ago and loved it! im on the second now and it is pretty good too. :)
Read the Iron King series! You will LOVE it if you love fairytales and violence and romance wrapped up into one amazing story line. I'm doing a series of reveiws on each of the books in the series.
I feel the exact same way about bookstores! I can spend all day looking for the perfect books to read, and if I'm ever having a bad day that is exactly what I do. My dad used to take my little sister and me to Barnes and Noble every Sunday, and I am SO thankful that he did. He also would let us both pick two books. I credit my love of reading to him. I have a two year old son now and we go to Barnes and Noble and pick out children's books. Love this video! Keep encouraging others to read. =)
You will love the time travelers wife! It's soo amazing!
I am obsessed with reading and was surprised when I saw you were too. You've read a lot of the books I love like the twilight series, shopaholic, and nicholas sparks books, my favorite being a walk to remember! I'd love to hear what your favorite books are by him, you've read more of his than I have and would love to hear suggestions.
My suggestions for you: Something borrowed and something blue and the bride quartet by nora roberts :)
I don't know what religion you are but Redeeming Love is seriously one of the BEST books I've ever read. It's not really religious but it's based on the book of Hosea in the bible but more like a 1900s take on it. It's fantastic. I was kind of unsure about it cause I'm not a huge fan of historical books but this was SO good.
@meitylam1998 I'm 13 and I read the Shopaholic series. To be honest, it was to mature for me. It's more for like if you are 16 but it is good. Ask your parents, first though.
I am now a HUGE fan of The Hunger Games thanks to you, Elle! You were right about it being super addicting, because I could NOT put it down. I would spend all day reading it and wouldn't dare to stop reading until I finished the book. I finished The Hunger Games and Catching Fire, so now I need to buy Mockingjay and I'm so excited to find out what happens! THANK YOU SO MUCH for introducing me to this amazing series, Elle <3
So I rolled my eyes when you said you were in to Nicholas Sparks, I have read A Walk to Remember and I thought it was very sappy. But then I see you have picked up Tuesdays with Morrie, Wuthering Heights and The Time Traveler's Wife and I think "Huh, so she's picked up some good ones". I LOVED all three of them, they re awesome :D
Will definitly look out for the Hunger Games! looks interesting :D
I LOVE that you love books and you're also make-up guru. Some people are so judgmental if a girl likes make-up and it's really amazing that you're proving them all wrong by showing you're literary as well!! If you like Philippa Gregory you should try Alison Weir - she writes fiction and non fiction about the Tudor era but her fiction is like Gregory's!!

@nutblast23 You obviously haven't read Ten little niggers, it's a criminal book, not a book about African or African American History, LOL

I was kind of unsure about it cause I'm not a huge fan of historical books but this was SO good.

meitylam1998 10 months ago
