Then wether you appreciate the man or not you should at least acknowledge what he has achieved in the game of baseball. Only a fool wouldn't agree on the fact that he is by far the greatest leadoff and base stealer of all time. He could also hit for power and play great defense, that is something you, of all people, should have been able to witness.

Rickey Henderson is deserved!!! I watched this guy growing up... RIce has suffered through the Steroid Era though, and Rice was more like a Jimmie Foxx of his day...
These guys may be Hall of Fame ball players but they pale to the millionaire Donovan McNabb, who throws interceptions and looses football games. He'll be in the Hall of Fame also in Canton when he finally stops embarrassing the loyal fans who thank him every season after he chokes at the BIG game.
I don't know why it took so long for Rice to get in, but he deserves to be there. Even if he did play for the Redsox. :)

Rickey knows that Rickey deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Now the Oakland A's should retire #24 for him. They should have done that already.

BTW, I got to witness Cansecos and McGwires rookie year up close. Very exciting times with Reggie and Rickey.
Canseco was really a Douchebag. Nobody liked him and then he turned Rat.
Steroids? Who cares! It's only entertainment. When you see it from the field side it's hard to imagine why people take it so GD seriously.
My first job at the Coliseum was cleaning the stands after the game. GROSS!
