Did the engine originally fit? MAN I Dislike lowered toyotas. Ruins the toyota look. Lifted with 35s and 4 wheel drive and a 2jzgte swap is much more appealing.

@zorgunit I was not the original installer, but i think they banged on the firewall to fit the twin turbo set up (when it was still there). That was the most. I have seen setups where they fit the twins w/o any modifications so you dont have to worry about that.

Check out LC ENGINEERING. they have the engine but you have to provide your own turbo kit. stock supra engine especially 2jz80 would run you about 5 grand or so. Good luck

you dont have to worry about the pinion angle..thats the whole point of a ujoint. you just leave the axle/diff right where it sits.

omg seriously?! Dude, if your pinion angle is wrong, it wears the u-joinst out and can bind them up. I have seen it countless times on lifted trucks, On lowered trucks, the wrong pinion angle can result in driveline vib that can hurt the u-joints. You need about 3 degrees of pinion angle.

i on this particular setup the fronts are lowered by the torsion bars by about 2" and the rears have a 1" drop block with only 2 leaf springs each side. i've since put 4x4 leaf springs cause the axle wrap was actually bending the springs backwards.

you know i never found out what kind of radiator it is. one time i poked a small hole in it and i looked at every toyota pickup truck radiator and not 1 matched this one. weird thing is that this one bolts right in. i'm guessing someone at one time had it custom made or switched the top portion so the hose is more mid section and not left.

there are proven 2rz's, but i doubt you can go 700+rwhp on a stock bottomend 2rz like you can 1jz. and i also doubt i would get 30mpg. its no doubt a good motor, but just not quite the same. i think a 1jz is a lot more daily street friendly at 400-500 hp.

you only need to mod the firewall if you dont want to relocate the intercooler and keep the twins. it looks like it use to have stock twins and they had to bang the firewall a tid bit, but that was it. next video will be more detailed on how to's. go single! its cleaner look, saves time and money in the long run. its a 93. selling her in the summer though :(

i personally didnt do the swap, but honestly i cant say how hard it is. what is easy to me might be hard to others and vise versa. all i have to say is, plan to have lots of money. i recommend going single from the start. also go with a r154. i have w58 right now and its holding up just fine, but its a time bomb. i want to turn the boost up, but at the same time dont want to risk it.

I think it's all about the traction. Turbo engines are either really easy or extremely difficult to mod. It'd be a good race Syclones run 13's stock. I saw a video of a 2jz getting smoked by one in a launch on youtube. Supra vs Syclone. But for what it is, it'd be a damn good race. Personally I'll still take mk3 (1jz) or mk4 (2jz) over that 4.3 AWD Turbo. RWD = Donuts and Burnouts :D Screw AWD save it for the track haha. Sick truck though really.
