I have a greyhound of my own and it breaks my heart that people do this. I heard the greyhounds that don't get homes get shot!!!!!! I hate anyone who abuses greyhounds or really any dog.
NO animal, no matter what, should live like these Greyhounds and no animal should be exploited in this way. Humans are the most violent race on earth, incomptetent in showing respect, kindness and compassion towards ALL sentient living beings. When it comes to make money, they sell their conscience and their righteousness... Thanks for sharing this video
I once went to a racing kennel with my friend. She new the man that run it, and at the time i thought it was a good place because the dogs were well looked after in big paddocks and they were cleaned out everyday and they were fed well and they seemed to be happy and the man seemed nice enough. But now that i think about it i don't agree with what he was doing and i don't think i really like him anymore even if he was looking after the dogs. But it doesnt make racing right. Please STOP RACING!
breks my heart, that poor dog spinning around and round in that tiny kennel, thank god these people where found and prosecuted. Greyhounds are such wonderful dogs and pets. lets hope we can stamp out the cruelty to these beautiful animals and also how cruely their lives are terminated!
this is bull shit, not all greyhound kennels are like this, this is only showing a minority of kennels. greyhounds love to run its in there blood and when they come to the end of the racing life they go on to make great pets. i work in greyhound racing kennels and have rehomed 5 greyhounds myself and the rest go to the retired greyhound trust where they find brilliant homes.
Poor beautiful souls, their eyes say it all! This is the reality for MANY MANY RACING GREYHOUNDS in an industry that protests 'one-off' cases! Glad at least this time prosecutions were made and these gentle creatures will get the chance of a loving home that they deserve.....RACING MUST STOP
Really like the RSPCA logo in the corner. They recently went into a house and destroyed 10 dogs with a captive bolt gun. Its "cheaper a painless injection" I think this "charitable" organisation should be investigated
This kennel is a palace compared with a lot I've seen.I'm amazed the owners were prosecuted as you'll see MUCH worse 10 times a day in Ireland and as often in the UK.
I am under no illusions that greyhound racing wil not be banned as there is too much money involved . If only the government would regulate the conditions some of these dogs are kept in and what happens to them after they stop racing . All trainers should be held responsible for there dogs welfare . Also ear tattoos abolished in favour of micro- chipping .
Bloody disgusting, they should be more than ashamed of themselves!! And I'm pro greyhound racing - don't tarr all trainers with the same brush as many in the industry were as appalled by this video as you antis.

The conditions are disgusting, and as bad as those for greyhound dogs in the U.S. racing industry. The whole business is shady and rife with animal abusers!
Yes, 10 years is really not enough! But at least, it starts to get a message to those vicious people. I cannot bear to look in their eyes, the poor poor creatures! I wish with all my heart that racing stops everywhere! Soon!
I must say bravo to the judge in this case. I think concentration camp was stating it mildly. I honestly think also that the judge should have banned these abusers from ever having any animal for life. Not just 10 years. In order to stop this craziness, I honest believe punishment should be extreme to the point that people will damn well know if they abuse it won't be pretty for them. Only then will the cruelty stop. Thanks my friend.

Thank you to everyone who was involved in rescuing these poor dogs from such terrible conditions. It gives me hope that slowly and surely we can overcome animal cruelty and neglect and education is vital. How many more Greyhounds are living sad, miserable and lonely lives because human beings want to gamble and profit from these innocent dogs who have no choice?

The bookies pay a levy of 0.6% of profits on greyhound racing bets to the racing industry.
The amount the bookies have paid in the last 3 years has dropped by 50% in the last 3 years.
If the bookies income has dropped by this much - then so has the revenue generated for the government.
Bookies are moving offshore...less taxes for the government and it is only a matter of time before this cruel industry finall dies!

Just because a dog loves to run doesn't mean it should be raced and betted on.
Or kept badly or sold to the spanish to have an even worse ending.
