Tchachina got fair scores she deserved, as did Bessonova, except for the fact that she should've gotten a 27 in clubs, and she would still be second to Tchachina. Anna really is a beautiful gymnast who deserved Olympic gold, but in Athens Tchachina was better and she was past her prime in Beijing.
Anna and Irina are both amazing gymnasts and we will never have anything like them again.
The routine and the way she perfoms it is a miricle! She's absolutely accuret in every step and she fills the routine with passion and tense. No wonder everyone wanted her to win the gold, she deffinately worthed it. Too bad Olympics dont represent fair game. Kabaeva is an amazing athlete, but her time was long gone and Besso deffinately diserved the gold.
The starting position and walkover at the beginning of this routine are beautiful, and so striking because she has such clear lines, but for me there wasn't enough technique; it was dominated by leaps, which are impressive, but not enough to fill a a whole routine.
@LettuzioMcBoot5 That was because of the code of point. All the routines were dominated by leaps and jumps in Athens. Thanks gods, it has changed since ! And Besso had a better technique that the olympic champ, Kabaeva..It was enough for a gold medal.
Oh, when I found a new music, which I love, I found it one of Bessonova's music <3 like this Onedin theme, or Carmen, Carmina Burana, Swan Lake, Mona Lisa Overdrive... and others :) <3<3<3
I like this routine, but I think it would be better if she had competed with the previous routine she used on Budapest, that was one her best routines (in my opinion)
I must say that was absolutely exquisite! One of the best routines I have ever seen Anya do!! It was SO much better than Alina Kabaevas ball routine!! It was scandalous that she didnt score higher than Kabaeva for this!!!
@guiy16 But compared to Bessonova, Tchatchina's leaps are just not there. However, Tchatchina seems to be more flexible. But when Anna moves, she has rhythm and grace, like a dancer should have, while Irina lacks the flow between movements.
@Uglefanatikeren no, there was one woman who was better than her, and you should understand i'm talking about tchachina, because there's no way kabaeva went better than anna.
Yeah, I think Bessonova should have been 1st, Tchachina 2nd (she didn't have that much originality and difficulties in her routines), and Kabaeva 3rd (or some other place, I hate her routines)...
@aliciariviera I love bessonova, but, tchachina was better. Her routines were super difficult, and really originals, in my opinion. Though, bessonova was also great. But silver would've been for her. Kabaeva, didn't deserved a medal, she was hideous.Ina gold, anna silver, and i'm not really sure about who deserved bronze, but definitely not alina.
OK, she deserved a higher ball score too, but one still in the 26s.

She's the best ever. I love this routine and how each movement flows into the next. She looks as if she was dancing.

The real podium for me was: First Tchachina, 2sd Bessonova and third kabaeva altought i like a lot Peicheva who deserved more than 6th place.
