  • Yay Arabs! <33

  • @ Horselover505: It's mostly an impatience thing. Arabs love to GO so any time they are made to go slower than they wish they can get a little frisky. Also, if he was shown English pleasure, that high stepping action is encouraged. He's doing what he has been trained to do. To prevent him from stepping so high you can do slow trot circles with him, keeping your hands low, to lengthen his stride. Instead of keeping his head up, encourage him to go long and low. Then you can retrain his head set.

  • my horse won the nationals in english pleasure too and was bred by Afire Bey V too and i ride him hunt seat soo i am doing 4-h and when i trot him in the 4-h arena he does the little prance thingy and i can't get him to stop!
