carthage were all sissys----- they betrayed hannibal and surrendered to rome just to be burned the iberians under hannibal were the best but under carthage nothing-- hannibal was more i have also had this experiance i had two spread out lines of ibrians--- the first line routed and my second army did without a fight battle was over in 30 seconds

@yankeemanful Cathagians were well trained fighters and have a bloody history mate.The reason your two spread out lines failed is because iberian infantry are not the ideal infantry for a front line.You should use the in flanking or support,basically thier role in online battles also dont spread your men out to far it demoralises them,easy to outflank.

Iberians are not under powered lol.

Its like Numidian cav is not under powered.

These are early units, and in early game play on the campaign they do fine, the Numidian cav actually totally decimate.

I think carthage as a whole is pretty underpowered, their units are not very good, Especially on campaign against a computer. Im pretty sure there only good for swarming. one unit of iberian infantry, and probaly lybian spearmen to, would get owned by one unit of hastatii or milita hoplites, which are the starting units of other nearby civilizations.

@emprguy Iberian infantry is not underpowered because the Carthaginians were renouned for their cavalry superiority over Rome. Whilst Rome had superior infantry.

Iberian Infantry is seen as underpowered in this video because they are fighting units such as chosen axemen and berserkers which are late game units. They are expected to lose.

Iberian infantry although inferior, are not underpowered otherwise Carthage as a faction would be over powered. I hope this makes sense.

of course the iberian infantry isn't that great vs berzerkers. the iberians in the game are early inf, probably they developped their armour and weapons later on in RL. but in the game they have to match the other early troops.

carthage deserved to be beaten by the romans because they actually had human sacrifices.(the "barbaric" gauls didn't have human sacrifices). btw, i don't really know carthaginian history, but wasn't their army composed by mercenaries?
