Here in India, Poor and Sick people were never attended to and they were just let to die like animals but Mother Teresa out of compassion and love got them in a Home and cared for them, Many recovered and many did not. She did what she could and for that I respect her.

Each country and each of the communities I served in I saw work that missionaries had started and neither were never finished or they disregarded because the communities were neither taught nor wanted the project. How missionaries were truly not beneficial. Mother Theresa's were no different. All that money from donations and her clinics still are hospices of uncomfortable death. The message she sent to the world is kindness and care for each other, no matter what religion or nation you are from and this truly is divine, if there is a divine its displayed in her deeds and her love for people. You know what she owned when she died? She owned few personal things, she stayed poor but she also owned huge repect and admiration. I prefer second, its something that lasts forever.
Mother Teresa is even more of an inspiration to me after reading her private writings which provide some understanding of what she was going through internally. Her love and faithfulness to Jesus kept her going on this path of love.

She spread it out so thin that her clinics became hospices for the dying and suffering and not places of death. Leprosy is curable! Yet her "patients" still slept on cots and sometimes floors dozens to a room. As far as AIDS is concerned instead of promoting a rubber she chose to back the failed practice of abstinence. Each country and each of the communities I served in I saw work that missionaries had started and neither were never finished or they disregarded because the communities were neither taught nor wanted the project. If I had the budget that this nun had I think I would have made an even better contribution than what I did

How missionaries were truly not beneficial. Mother Theresa's were no different. All that money from donations and her clinics still are hospices of uncomfortable death. What I fear is that in this day and age her patients are not given proper care and they have more money than they need to reach this "goal"

I question whether with all the millions raised through her charity it was neccessary to keep the dying in conditions not a million miles from those seen in Aushwitz. I also wonder what happened to the millions missing after her death. I question whether it was neccessary for someone purporting to be helping the poor to rub shoulders with some of history's most evil people:Duvalier, Pinochet etc. Not really suitable company for a saint.

@FredNotJorge Despite the millions at her disposal Mother Teresa prefered to allow those under her care to suffer in their own filth without pain killers. When asked why she operated this way and subjected those in her care to such cruel treatment; she replied that it was necessary to make them suffer the way Jesus did. She was not only a fraud, she was also a fanatical sadist!!! You need to reexamine your definition of good

@FredNotJorge Research it!! The evidence is out there. For example: she accepted over a million dollars from Charles Keating. When notified by letter that the money she recieved came from a man who stole the life savings of hundreds of people and in many cases destroyed their lives, instead of saying she would return the money; she ignored the letter. The money was never returned so that it could be given back to those who earned it. . LOOK IT UP

This is true. But let's think about this for a bit. If you ran a hospice and orphanage in Calcutta and received a donation of 1.25 million dollars would you rather give the money to the few hundred Americans who were defrauded (whose understanding of "poverty" is the equivalent to "wealth and affluence" for about 80% of the world's population), or use it to help the lepers, widows, and orphans who are despised and dejected outcasts in one of the poorest cities on the planet?

You are condoning her acceptance of this money because it was "middle class" money without stopping to think that many of those people lost their life savings..."EVERYTHING!! And she didn't spend the money on those in her care, she turned it over to the church. A million dollars would have bought a hell of a lot more than rags, a bed pan and a section of feces covered floor to lie on. MT helped no one except herself.

Say what you want, but I dont care what Religion she was. Gandhi, a hindu, was a great man and helped people with a philosophy that states that nonviolent protests are better than violent protests. Why cant you say the same for her? She could be atheist, muslim, hindu, buddist, any religion or none, and still we remember the legacy she had: to help the porrest of the poor. Stop being ignorant and looking only straight to the religious aspect and start by looking at the values of people.

This woman was nothing more than a heathen. See Matthew 6:7 which condemns the rosary. !st Timothy 2:5 which condemns praying to Mary, and the second commandment which forbids graven images of Mary. This woman is in hell.
