you know it in your heart. When worshipping a god other than the Christian God you do not feel it in your heart you have a created feeling that you are doing the right thing. I guess it's kinda like when you like someone in elementary school you think whole heartidly that it's TRUE liking and it's real but when you like someone for real when you get older you understand that the feeling you had in elementary school was not real and the new one was... does that make sense?
So like when Muslims become Christians it's kinda like the transition from 5th grade liking someone to 10th grade liking someone. make sense? If you are confused, I highly recommend you to pray to God. and if you don't know how, it's not as hard as some ppl make it to be. Some Christians will go on about the "right way" to pray but really, praying is not something you do by doing it a certain way it is by talking to God like you would do with anyone else. My prayers are VERY informal
My prayer basically go like this, although some ppl are very formal some very informal like I said there is no "right way."
"Hey God, so I was...(explain what happened)... and I just need your help with this..." etc. Sometimes I say "dear God" and sometimes I don't even have a beginner. I do say Amen at the end but it's very informal and God doesn't want you to talk to Him formally like you hardly know Him, but to talk to Him like He's your lifelong friend, which He is. :)

@payneman5000 I believe that the scripture you are refering to only really applies to when you are speaking to people, after all God always knows what you are are thinking and according to God thinking something is the same as doing it, just like hating someone is the same as murdering them. When we pray, often we don't even pray out loud and yet in my experience God has answered many of my "non-verbal" prayers. To God, what we think is just as important as what we say :)

@payneman5000 I somtimes wonder about that, but it seems to me like The Almighty, who I consider my friend, would let me call Him God. I was taught to pray to God as if He was my best friend, and was next to me, He is the Holiest of course, but I also see Him as a close friend.

@payneman5000 I believe that the scripture you are refering to only really applies to when you are speaking to people, after all God always knows what you are are thinking and according to God thinking something is the same as doing it, just like hating someone is the same as murdering them. When we pray, often we don't even pray out loud and yet in my experience God has answered many of my "non-verbal" prayers. To God, what we think is just as important as what we say :)

I think If you really want to honor God, you wouldn't sit at the computer and argue about how to spell a title of his. Instead you'd do just as this song proclaims. GET UP AND DANCE! Love our creator through your life, through your actions. You clicked to come listen to this song, I say live it. That's what worship is about about, that's what Christianity is! Not a reason to argue with people but a reason to live life to the fullest through Jesus Christ! Live and and Love it, don't argue it.

as a strong Christian, i believe it should ALWAYS be capitalized and it actually bothers me when i accidently forget to capitalize, but thats my opinion. if you dont think you have to, then thats you.

@payneman5000 I agree that God should be respected at all levels and feared in a sense... but one of the wonderful things Jesus showed us was that God isn't just an angry God bent on judging people for their sins like everyone believed in the old testament.... he showed us the love of God that God IS love and that no matter what your sins you could always come to him to be forgiven :D

@payneman5000 I somtimes wonder about that, but it seems to me like The Almighty, who I consider my friend, would let me call Him God. I was taught to pray to God as if He was my best friend, and was next to me, He is the Holiest of course, but I also see Him as a close friend.

absolutely, if we couldnt speak to Him as a friend then worship would be pointless, and prayer would be meaningless. I speak to God as a friend and as a Figure beyond a father. cuz no matter how bad i screw up He has the answers, not me not my girlfriend, not my parents, not pastors, no human being.

I wouldn't say it's disrespectful. I think that its a way to honor Him to capitalize His name, like a proper noun, you capitalize it, but I'm pretty sure that God the Almighty doesn't mind if it goes in uncaps, its just one small way WE can honor Him.
