Form is good. Javelin style . I think a rotary throw would work better if your wrist speed was fast enough (that's what it's all about) For light objects anyway.

Hey cool, I used to throw all sorts of stuff.

I managed 92m first bounce with a golfball once, that was when I was 16-17? Have not tried since.

Oh, and those little flat skimming stones on the beach go for freakin miles!

Does throwing with a straight arm make for better technique??? I have never tried that.

Because of the square flat singular wing shape of the Ipod I feel is should have gone further than the golf ball. And next time get a wind buff to put over that mike cause you obviously have a heavy back wind wich would not count in the guiness book so NO none of theese throws are world records period. I don't think 154 yards is possible.. record with a javelin is only 113 (meters). A javelin is aerodynamic and glides through the air, and the ipod is and does not. so no, fake.

Actually the world record with a new javelin is 98.48m. And the ipod is actually very areodynamic , like a flat stone,

the ipod actually did a swirling cork screw through the air when chucked it - even I was surprised!

An iPod is much more dense and (flying mostly edge-on) should have a lot less surface area generating drag per gram. It's also lighter and doesn't have to be released in a straight line, which means it should be possible to generate a faster release than with a spear. Go Roald! More people seeing how fun throwing can be is a good thing for the throws :)

Unfortunately the ipod being white did not help either. FYI: I am trying to set something up to do in front of people from the Guinness Book of Records - so it can be officially documented. Organinizing such an event is surprising difficult though. Hopefully later in the summer or in the fall.
