But I guess that's the label we'll have to use seeing as though it's popular. If there's an overload of psuedo-babble associated with the singularity, I would prefer to use another word. A word that conveys only that machine intelligence finally surpasses that of humans.

@logicNreason2008 yeah that's a place i diverge with mckenna. i believe both are useful, but i think i lack the patience for meditation, but this to me makes me believe it is even of greater use. terence also lacked the patience for meditation as he admitted many times. indeed it is difficult to practice such patience after using powerful psychedelics.
@Kberiotwhn have you tried meditating while high on marijuana? Marijuana is a mild psychedelic and I believe it can be a great tool for meditation. When you say you lack the patience for meditation, I think you are saying you are not able to silence your mind / thoughts? In my experience, marijuana can help silence your thoughts and put your awareness more into the present moment. That is why pretty much everything you do high is more enjoyable because it puts you more into the present moment.
u can meditate on weed but only as an observational method. dont meditate on weed all the time. although drugs can help to go deeper they always add a layer between mind and body. for a propper meditation one should be clean.

Biological evolution happens very slowly. Technological evolution happens quickly, and the pace of this evolution is accelerating. Biology simply won't be able to keep up with technology.

@logicNreason2008 yeah that's a place i diverge with mckenna. i believe both are useful, but i think i lack the patience for meditation, but this to me makes me believe it is even of greater use. terence also lacked the patience for meditation as he admitted many times. indeed it is difficult to practice such patience after using powerful psychedelics.

@Kberiotwhn have you tried meditating while high on marijuana? Marijuana is a mild psychedelic and I believe it can be a great tool for meditation. When you say you lack the patience for meditation, I think you are saying you are not able to silence your mind / thoughts? In my experience, marijuana can help silence your thoughts and put your awareness more into the present moment. That is why pretty much everything you do high is more enjoyable because it puts you more into the present moment.

Biological evolution happens very slowly. Technological evolution happens quickly, and the pace of this evolution is accelerating. Biology simply won't be able to keep up with technology.

Biological evolution is tethered to reproduction, however technological evolution is tied to a certain mode of civilization that invests in computer technology. He is just talking about the evolution of human consciousness and so were the Mayans. The "end of the world" stuff is BS, the mayans knew there are cycles to consciousness and evolution which is why they came up with the calendars to plot this evolution. We pass the 9th gate on OCT 28th and then the rest of the calendar (260 day) goes to 2012 where the "GODS COME BACK", not the world ends. @MrJerktube Strange aint it. Its like we're being pulled towards something and we aren't able to stop it from happening. I few years ago people on the street (i worked on the street awhile back) seem interested in spitituality. Now its even beyond that. Something really weird is happening :) Hold on, mate! Its gonna be a hell of a ride!

Terence denounced this theory shortly before his death in the spirit of true furthering of human knowledge because various mathmaticians have proven this theory flase. The entire 2012 B.S. is based on a MAYAN callender and an AZTEC god. Two different groups of people with different gods and beliefs. Do your homework.
