  • 100 % accurate & true , i have lived it so i know what he is saying is true if it wasnt for hormones then a lot of the bodybuilders wouldnt be anything , most athletes are over trained plain & simple majority of them cause that is how they think more training is better which is total bs

  • I only do very little cardio the diet IMO makes u lose weight if u do tons of cardio and then go home and eat rubbish u wont be loosing weight

  • I loved Mike and I only wish he stayed a competitive bodybuilder. I hate to say it but he's a windbag here and I wish I didn't watch this. I wish he's would have stayed that same hot black haired, mustached bodybuilder on muscle rocks and the beach and magazine covers. I think he let his loss to Arnold get to him and it ate at him and kinda destroyed him. Guess I just remember him and Ray in my own way. Thanks for posting anyway.

  • " We live in an anti rational culture " . This guy was bodybuilder ? I never heard that from a teacher or anyone who's supposedly an intellectual.

  • Yes especially since the 60's thats why they called it "THE COUNTER CULTURE"

  • i admire mentzer for he was a great bodybuilder. but i think he is wrong about nutrition. 60 % carbs? 15% fat rest protein? i eat around 50-70 percent of fat. never more than 10% of carbs and around 40 percent protein . 2 carb load days weekends. my muscles are not flat i am bigger than with 60% carbs and a get leaner every month what never happenend when i eat the "optimum 60 % carb diet. body can adapt to fat as main fuel. so it dontwants to store it. lots of carbs only make me fat.

  • @djlovemachine wtf ? your body only utilizes fat when it dips into the oxidative energy pathway where fat is convert to energy, this only happens when the heart rate is elevated for 20 minutes or longer. so your ratios are seriously wrong and you could be a lot leaner or do a lot of cardio or just a freak. This is not for a regular person.. by the way the fda has approved this ratio and the pyramid is where all the research and knowledge of the human body is.

  • @NoHoldsBARHernandez i do a lot cardio and i am very low in carbs so i am a fat burning machine. i like the reduced amount of food i have to eat to get my needed calories. i am never bloated as i was with more carbs and water retention under the skin is also reduced a lot. i can train better with more carbs but the body gets used to it. since i do low carb and high fat i can do much longer cardio sessions because i dont ride against the carb depletion wall after 40 minutes i do a lot more.

  • Okay, here's the real deal when it comes to volumn vs. intensity. It's true that there are more aspects to muscle size then simple hypertrophy, such as blood plasma volumn and mitocondrial growth. These factors are NOT affected by the intensity of a set but rather a certain volumn of targeted exercise. So, while it's definately possible to chronically overtrain, a bodybuilder DOES need a certain amount of volumn training to get bigger. The key is to find the perfect balance that works for you!

  • Mike knew his shit..RIP Mike.

  • Could Mike have been secretly assasinated???

  • where can I get this full seminar?

  • This is the man to listen to, he knows what he's talking about.

  • he's right though. carbs carbs and good carbs not bad carb ie donuts, biscuts, and shit. carbs are fuel, protien is repair and fat is back up power to keep it simple.

  • that motherfucker talked big shit

  • man Mike really knew he's stuff, her was a genius of the art of bodybuiding to a tee.

  • Where's Mentzer on steroids? Let's hear about his opinion on dianabol, primobolan. Let's hear him tell us which ones he used and which one was better. Mentzer was an anal-retentive fairy piece of shit.

  • @z0ltanz0ltan shut up a##hole...at least he admits to taking steroids, in his books....you got guys like Coleman that don't even admit to taking steroids. When it's obvious that they take more steroids than food. By the way, Mentzer did not take that much, especially compared to what bodybuilders take today.

  • Anyone who red High intencity nutrition?

  • LOOOOOOOOOOL@ 60 SETTS MAN

    60 TEEEEEEE

thats dinosour would NOT manage doing it.

i wonder if he red that right , i didnt really see 60 setts in my life.

  • @TheRogueMonk : you may not have read that, but most guys I speak with do 25 sets for chest 20 sets shoulders and 15 sets for tris for their chest shoulder tri workout, which is 60 sets. Mike is just reiterating that the common belief is as one gets bigger just add more sets, which is false. Most pro bodybuilders do more sets and grow because they also up their dosage of roids

  • @pmango1000 YEAH LOL

mentzer RULES well now he RULES in the next life

  • mentzer's the man. i'll never go back to regular training ( or over eating )

  • I realised the same hting az mentser just before i found his ideas

and i was happy that someone thought like me. meaning his words truelly does work because i expereinced it before

  • Thank you from a former Mentzer personal trainee from the 90's.

  • Thanks so much. I think you have an idea how much this will be appreciated by those who trained under Mike's expertise as I did.
