Not only were they all located in Chicago, but Capitol, Supertone, and Challenge (and Columbia!) were all intimately related.
The Columbia Music Roll Co. (renamed the "Capitol Roll and Record Co." in late 1924 to avoid confusion with the unrelated Columbia record company) had many different house brands, including Challenge, which was their cheapo line. However these rolls are still a lot of fun to collect.
Supertone was a Sears Roebuck brand. Most Supertone rolls are Columbia/Capitol arr.
i have this same song roll played by irma glenn but i think its on capitol. same arrangement.

I wouldn't be surprised. Capitol was also located in Chicago along with Supertone and Challenge.
What might be interesting is if Capitol had a version of Ms. Glen, I wonder if any of her arrangements made it into the Capitol orchestrion rolls?
