Hey Thom. In 1999 my sister, Sidney, and I travelled some of those roads west from Salisbury MD. However we hit a place Vermillion in Ohio the first night and they had just had a tornado..Motels had no A/C. Farther on we did hit Souix City, but didn't like it much, it smelled of sulphur. Loved Souix Falls and went west about 500 miles to Rapid city, Mt Rushmore,,Deadwood to Saloon #10 then to the main target Yellowstone. After that it was headed for home and was all downhill. from there.
