the vespa has a reduct cilindrate and is not good for cruising on highway. it is used as city vehicle. anyway the products from piaggio cover the need of a machine that can cruise on highway (such as X9 )
Vespas are too expensive. It costs about half the price of a new sedan. They should reduce the price in order to compete with the more powerful Hondas and Yamahas. The quality of the $7,000 Hondas and Yamahas is excellent and they have powerful twins. That make them more practical to cruise at highway speeds.
Zijn zeer achterhaald deze scooters. Ouderwetse techniek rijden op benzine. Veel herrie, veel onderhoud en langzaam. Elektrischescooterclub.nl

I take my GTV 250 on the freeway every day at least 40 miles, cruises up to 86 mph, fuel injected, it's got pick up!
