I like the fact that somebody finally got the windows to be the right size. Three of which are properly glazed with frosted glass. :p
Hard to tell because the Doctor Who film is mostly set at night. But I think McGann's TARDIS was a darker blue than that. So maybe Tom Baker's from Season 18, in Logopolis maybe?
Well, you might want to become a Time Lord first. After that, it's really a matter of just stealing one, or paying a good price. I personally prefer the Type 40s, but there's only one left.
I'm not convinced. Many myths and legends across the globe, from the Celtic legends to the Pied Piper to the fate of the Aztecs, speak of things that look small and like one thing on the outside but are huge and appear totally different on the inside. And "Gallifrey" is an Ancient Norse word meaning "Far/Distant Lord" or maybe "Lord of Distance". I think the BBC got in touch with Rassilon and bought up the spare type 40s.
CS Lewis's book 'The Final Battle' features a stable whose interior is greater that it's exterior. I wonder whether it was that which inspired the TARDIS?
I'd love to see a WHO episode where the Doctor encounters C.S. Lewis as a child and he sneaks inside the TARDIS to hide from something or someone and remembers the experience (ala Agatha Christie), using it as inspiration for the Wardrobe (the whole world of Narnia is in the wardrobe just like the whole new Narnia is inside the stable).
all u do is film it there 4 about 10 secs and then film it not there 4 10 secs and then you put a bit of it not there every 4 secs of it there add as dissolve effect to the frames and there u are
You can do it like that, sure, but there are plenty of programs for morphing one image to another. Why not do two shots, alpha-blend them to get various levels of not-thereness, then morph each one to the next? (In fact, you could write a GIMP script to do alpha-blending all the way.but morphing programs were used in the old series and would seem logical enough to give it that same feel.)
The pity is that the full dematerialization sound no longer exists. The tape was found to be water damaged, when the 25 years CD was produced, so the later elements you can hear on the first story are no longer in any isolated form. To the best of my knowledge, no attempt at isolating and extracting known examples of the full sequence have ever been attempted.
It's not life size is it? Not a bad effect overall. If you try doing another, maybe try making it pulse with the engine sound like it does in the show. Wouldn't hurt to make the light on top flash too.
you dont know what doctor who is ¬_¬ your not worthy to live, it is the longest and best since fiction programs ever made on british television, probly the best in the world, (red dwarf is a close 2nd) but i think the added laser sounds at the end where a bit un-nessasery. But i still like it well done ;)
Those aren't added, those are old-school. It's been around for a while, surely you can give them a bit of play-room? Thirty or thirty one seasons... honestly.
the laser sounds were part of the effect for a long while. the first tiem i remember hearing them is when the doc ( tom baker ) brought leela to gallifrey
not bad, ive seen other videos where they fade out in a second which isnt that similar to the show, so good job here, wudve been kl if you'd been able to put a light in
I cant speak for how rizla603104 did it, but it can be done relatively easily on windows movie maker.

There are "bound" to be others, but they'd better Harry up and say so. BTW, at university, the sci-fi student society was nicknamed The Cult Of Tom.

No, it is on the correct side for this TARDIS. There were at least seven different TARDIS since 1963, all of which were fundamentally different.
