  • I know yall frown upon the use of machines but using the machine for chest flys is great it really works your inner chest if you put it at the correct setting and is great for people that live in SNAP CITY.

    I have a B.S.S, worked as a personal trainer for 3 years before quitting to purse a degree in evolutionary biology. I'm not a professor, because that's not what scientist means. You have the pectoralis major and minor, and these muscle fibres run horizontally. Please explain to me which muscle your "inner" chest is, and then how it is makes it possible to target your "inner" chest if it can't be activated horizontally.

    Cool, do those diamond pushups which hit your entire pectoralis major, because that's how the muscle fibres in your chest contract, since it's impossible for any emphasis to be put on the inmost part. Do what you gotta do.

  • Diamond push up.. If you concentrate on the chest doing the work and not your triceps hits the inner chest.

  • @hcinep no it doesn't the stuff said in the video is correct, you can't target your inner chest, anatomically it just is not possible, the fibres of the chest run in a horizontal way (some go slightly down or up) and a muscle fibre must fully contract or not contract at all, so half of the fibre (ie. the middle 1/3) can't contract without the rest of the fibre therefore the whole fibre is worked not just the inner portion

    And I didn't say i don't agree with the video.. But that's what works for them. At the end of the day u gotta find what works for you. If you have a good enough mind muscle connection you can give yourself huge pumps just by thinking of working out.. and You can have great mind muscle connection with inner chest if you want. I do. You go ahead and put your faith in them studies.. I'm to busy makin all kinds of gains doin whatever the fuck I wanna do.

    No, I'm speaking anatomically, there is no way to focus an exercise on the "inner" portion of your chest. You have the pectoralis major and pectoralis minor. I realize everybody's body is different, but there is no pectoralis innerus or whatever you want to call it. Muscle fibers move horizontally. This has already been explained to you.

    Jimmy Struthers does not use science in his reasoning. He believes everything he reads in a Men's health and fitness magazines. "Inner chest" workouts are broscience that get spouted in fitness magazines with no accurate science behind them. If anything, someone who advocates trying to target the inner chest would be in line with the reasoning of the fitness magazines, and therefore obtain the jimmy struthers persona.

    By all means, continue to train how you want to train. But if you really think that science consists of just a bunch of guys in white coats making guesses and stating their opinions rather than running studies and backing up their claims with testable, IRREFUTABLE evidence....if you really think that we don't have the technology and knowhow to understand how muscle fibres work, then you really need to take a few more highschool biology courses. Can't target the inner chest, the end.

Ive been taking 5 types of steroids for many years now, i gained a lot of muscle and ive been taking twice the recommende dose on deloading weeks and up to 5 times the dose doing some serious lives damage and my gains were slower than they claim and my roids are legal and potent! they're liars!

  • They take steroids being 47 and still building muscle at the rate they are just using protein and creatine supplements is a joke. I broke my back and was told i would never walk again, i was prescribed anabolib steroids for recovery and cell regeneration. took me many months in rehabilitation now i am still taking roids, some of the strongest on the market and I abuse them for muscle gains, I only just reached their size after 7 years total on the roids

  • @ericunder29 Where did you go to get the BF tested? It might just be high estrogen, I'd need to see a photo. I'd advise more of the brassica family of veggies: broccoli, asparagus, brussel sprouts and a good dose of healthy fats. Hit me up on the Facebook Page and I'll be able to help ya out
