I make my chai almost the same with two exceptions, I use Splenda instead of sugar and I also add 1 twist of my pepper mill right at the end set on very fine. I also occassionally add one vanilla bean sliced down the middle and the seeds and pulp scraped and all added to the chai.
im pakistani and i only use cardamom and cinnamon in mine... and of course sugar. also my advice is you should use lots of whole milk and a lot less water. gives more creamier and milkier taste!
btw its not just "indian chai" okay. its our brew too. >:L
@worldtraveler101 i beileve you can drink chai hot or chilled its according to your tatste but of course dont drink it as soon as it comes off the stove unless you want to scorch your taste buds =P
I'd use less milk and tea leaves. you used two tablespoons of tea whilst a teaspoon is five grams. but to each his or her own for tea is a personal thing!
greetings from canada! great video! can i use minceg ginger (bought in a jar) and also I would like to know another method for straining as i don't have a small strainer like shown in your video ( perhaps i can use a paper towel to strain??)
Thank you! I can't find whole cardamom in any of the chain stores near me (sad I know) so I had to settle for ground cardamom. This is the first chai tea video I've seen that actually uses that so it's very helpful!
@Nergibor Tbh, it's actually nu-metal, because the artist is KoRn... Well, that doesn't make it insta-nu-metal, but the song is still nu-metal, because it's "freak on a leash".
I us cloves and peppers(corns) too in mine, and extra cardamon. Chai differs a lot depending on region or family.

How about burning the spices/cardamom/cinnamon to get out flavor? Or does that only work for curry?

@MissPamela89 Hi. When I can find my strainer I just use a Cheese Grater! Lol its not my first choice but it works just as good as a strainer.

@eliten0Ob Actually it's "Got the Life", not "Freak on a Leash". ^__^ But it's an easy mistake, a lot of their songs sound instrumentally alike.
