This program is ok, but I am glad skating is not like this anymore. There was too much sitting, kneeling, and sliding around on the ice rather than skating on your feet.

I still can't believe they didn't win this competition--by a large margin. This performance is absolutely mesmerizing.

@nondescriptnyc Agree this was a stunning FD but technically, they lacked the content that K/P had. However, what was interesting was how U/Z had 4 1st place ordinals but still ended up 3rd. I think had to do with none of the top teams having enough ordinals to win the FD so they combined 1st & 2nd ordinals - the winning team being K/P but because they were too far behind after the OD, they went with the next team - D/D.

Indeed, they should have won. This FD is a masterpiece. Such a shame the judges gave the title to the Duchesneys. Isabelle was such a weak dancer! But the Worlds were in Germany, the French couple trained there, with a German coach, and U&Z were the victims.

@cristina2004 I agree totally. I love them so I'm biased, but to me, there is absolutely no way to justify putting the Duschesnay's ahead of U & Z with a recycled program and costumes, and weaker technical skills. Everything they did throughout this championship was brilliant and they should have won this title outright. They were robbed. One more measly judge putting them first, and all would have been right with the world. :-D

I don't find anything wrong with Petr/Janoschak's costumes, I like them.

They should have won this event. Duschesnays had the best free in 1990 but U & Z were the best here, no doubt. This should have been their year but they had to wait another 2 years to get what they deserved.
